Vampire Bats

These unique bats are the only *known* mammals that live off drinking blood alone. Unless real vampires exits. Would they be mammals?

On the other hand, unless they are spreading rabies, Vampire bats are not harmful to their 'prey' -large livestock who often sleep through the entire episode. These bats are very smart, social and caring amongst themselves. They are very clean - - grooming each other often.
