2008-12-06 Diego a Love Story
This story begin 6 years ago in the spring of 2002.
We first meet Ferninand (Diego) at a bird show in Mid-Pennsylvania. My wife, Teresa fell in love with him and really wanted to buy him. The price was $500 which was more than our car payment that was due. So practicality won over emotion and we did not buy the bird. About 6 weeks later at a bird show in Lancaster, PA. We again saw Ferninand, who by the way, is a blued headed Pionus. We knew then that we were meant to be owned by Ferninand. We made payment arrangements and took him home. On the way we and our friends, Iris and Miguel stopped at a restaurant and of course took the bird in with us. I think it was at the restaurant we decided to rename Ferninand Diego.
Deigo was supposed to be Teresa's bird. I had recently purchaged a new born Peach Front Conure, who we had not brought home yet from the breeder. I named him Kiwi, when I bought him home. Anyway, Diego soon chose me to be his favorite human and I grew to love him very much.
2008-12-04 Effective Surfing
How effective is your surfing the traffic exchanges? Do you spend hour after hour clicking without getting results? Do you scatter your efforts promoting multiple programs? Would you like to achieve more results for your efforts? Do you join each new traffic exchange?
Many of you can relate to what is written above. I know early on in my experiences with traffic exchanges that I had many of the above thoughts.
Several points stand out. Promoting many different offers is not going to work. There is no way you can surf enough in a limited amount of time to effectively get any results from that approach. Of course, there are exceptions if you surf 15-18 hours a day. Most of us can only surf an hour or two per day. So promote one or maybe two offers.
Try not to advertise a cookie cutter affiliate site or program. How many times a day do you see the same old pages on the net and almost go to sleep? Make your offer stand out, use a splash page, (SEO Squid has a great splash page maker as a benefit of membership) . Brand yourself and whenever possible use a picture of yourself on the splash page.
Focus you efforts on perhaps 5 or 6 exchanges for each surfing session, I recommend Mozilla Firefox as the best browser for tabbed surfing. Surf these for at least an hour, then go on to your next group of exchanges. Track your results to determine which exchanges work for you over at least a month of time.
