The Internet has been growing exponentaly. According to Internet World Stats North America Internet usage has increased 108.94% between 2000 and 2005. Currently 68.4% of the population in North America use the Internet. During that same period World Wide usage increased 182% with a total usage of 15.7% of the World population. By December 31, 2005 Internet World Stats documented that there were 1.016 Million Internet users

Computer Industry Almanac Inc. reported on November 14, 2005 the worldwide number of Internet broadband subscribers will surpass 215 million in 2005—up from less than 5M in 1999 and 67M in 2002. USA is the leader in broadband subscribers and will reach nearly 47M at year-end 2005. Worldwide broadband Internet subscribers are forecasted to reach 500M by the end of 2010.

I must admit I have to be dragged kicking and screaming to use any updated technology. I refused to have a wire free mouse as I knew I would never find where the baby had hidden it. Luckily for me I have one child of the optimum age to explain it all to me - 5!
