Do YOU BCC?
I am writing this to encourage everyone to learn about the "BCC" field and to learn how to use it. For a detailed explanation of email from Wikipedia, go to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-mail
When you send people email you can send it in two ways:
- So that everyone can see everybody else's email address, and
- So that everyone can't see everybody else's email address.
When you put the email addresses in the "To" field or in the "CC" field, everyone can see everyone else's email address.
But, when you use the "BCC" field, the system hides the addresses of everyone else.
The "BCC" field gets its name from "Blind Carbon Copy". "BCC" is a term that was originally used (back when typewriters used carbon paper) to indicate a carbon copy that was being made but wasn't being acknowledged. It was a kind of "secret" copy, one that the addressee didn't know about. For an even more complete explaination, you can take a look at Wikipedia’s description.
Today on the internet BCC is used to hide email addresses so that you don't disclose everyone's email address to everyone else. This is a sensible anti-spam precaution because it avoids making a long list of e-mail addresses available to all the recipients. See Wikipedia’s anti spam precaution explaination.
Why should you hide the address of everyone else? Because when you don't those addresses can get forwarded all across the internet. When you send twenty of your friends an email showing all twenty email addresses and those people forward that email to twenty of their friends, suddenly 400 people now have your friends' email addresses.
These email addresses remain in the email and many people don't edit them out. I once received an email that had been forwarded and forwarded and I was able to harvest 278 email addresses from that one email. Ever wonder how your email address gets on those spam lists? This is one way.
Consider if every time your friend called their friend they handed out your phone number to people who didn't know you. And then those people handed it out to people that they called.
Or what if every time your friend wrote a letter to their friends, they handed out your home address to people who didn't know you. And then those people handed it out to people that they wrote to. This is what happens when people send your email address to people who don't know you.
Are you writing 5 of your friends who all know each other? No problem. They all have each other's email address anyway. You aren't disclosing anything. Are you in the office or in a business transaction? No problem.
But, the next time you open up that email that was forwarded to you with a joke, motivational story, funny cartoon, or even with one of the ubiquitous virus alerts, look through that email. See how many email addresses you can see for people you do not know. And as you forward that email across the internet to your friends sending those email addresses to spammers, remember that you know how to hide your friends' addresses to protect them.
When you write, remember that you can be spreading your friends' email addresses all across the internet. Learn how to use BCC. Then ALWAYS use it.
BCC implementation:
Some ISP's won't let you send only to BCC. If you try to send only to BCC and your ISP bounces your email, you may need to put at least one address in the "To" field. Here is a trick: use your own address in the "To" field. You can either put your own address directly, or, if you want to be even cleverer, create an address in your own address book to use.
For example, you could create an address in your address book called "Friends" and give that entry your own address. Then when you want to use the BCC, put "Friends" in the "To" field and the real addresses in the BCC fields.
The email will show up addressed to "Friends". The other addresses will be hidden.
Notice: WebTV does not support BCC. See this entry to confirm that information.
Convert Credits: There is a special page created for outside exchanges. This page allows Importing of Credits to Moneylegs. Participating owners are able to turn it off and/or alter ratios from their Moneylegs Account as well. The latest addition to the Exclusive Moneylegs Credit bank is CheetahTraffic. You will notice that the Convert links have been taken out of the Inhouse Exchanges and Traffic Rodeo. They are listed on the new and improved Import Page which is LIVE. The Import Page is also password coded so you will need to enter the password of the exchange you are transferring creditd from. Ratios are listed at the Top of the Import Page as well. These same changes are done on the Export Page too. We hope to be adding more exchanges to the "Bank" soon. Be sure you have all of your referral ID's set at the FollowMe Link Directory. The FollowMe is directly related to the Credit Bank. If you do not have an ID filled in at the Follow Me; the Exchange will not show in the credit bank. How to take a screenshot If you have read any online tutorial, you have probably seen a screenshot such as the one below:
What is a screenshot?
A screenshot, screen dump, or screen capture is an image taken by the computer to record the visible items on the monitor or another visual output device. Usually this is a digital image taken by the host operating system or software running on the computer device, but it can also mean when a capture is made by an external device. Wikipedia
Wikipedia provides excellent tutorials for learning how to take a screenshot. I do want to add that you can paste screenshots into almost any image editor, not just those listed in the tutorials.
As an alternative, those of you who have Firefox installed on your computer, will want to download ScreenGrab. This Firefox add-on can be set to give you a screenshot of the entire page, rather than just the part that shows in the window. (Download this add-on while using Firefox to install it automatically.) Once the tool is downloaded, you will be able to take a screenshot by simply right clicking on the page and selecting one of ScreenGrab options.
So, why would you want a screenshot? Well, if your page accidently gets corrupted in some way, or if you fail to get a good backup, or if you make changes and want to go back to that page again but can't remember exactly everthing that was on it, a screenshot will provide the information you need.

Is this how YOU feel?
I have programs, I even paid someone $200 (a well-known marketer) to build my first website, the autoresponders, the whole thing. That was maybe a month and a half ago. I have yet to make a dollar.
Why? Well, there IS the list I don’t have, but I did get a list of a thousand or so but no instructions on just how to use it (I can’t read what was sent.) It looks like Greek to me. My biggest problem .. my BIGGEST problem, is — since I do have it all, or I think I do .. is that I can’t seem to get a “plan”. Not just .. need a webpage, I need a blog, I need a list, etc. ..
See, I don’t really know what comes first, second, third, etc. Obviously, it’s not the webpage or the autoresponders cause I have them (although, even though I “have” them, I’m wondering if I can duplicate them on another site (or hopefully several) all by myself (or not!). Ok, the plan. I have information overload, bigtime — hundreds, if not thousands of programs, and how to’s .. so many that I am overwhelmed with it all.
I need a SIMPLE plan .. today, I need to do this .. oh, not just I need a list … I need to know .. step by step how to create this list .. like today I write an article .. don’t forget to put good sig file (maybe I should have the sig file down first since it has to be thought out well and created … several of them, no doubt ..
Then the article, or the ideas first, or the responders first, or decide which giveaway to use first, or finish my own ebook first (it’s almost done), then make the cover, the backend, the frontend, the mid-sell (each one something specific I have to do) and that seems overwhelming — which first .. I saw a jv giveaway program I’d love to be a part of, but see no way to do it all in time (before it starts) ..
I suppose I’d need the autoresponder set up first before I start trying for a list or I’d have nothing to send them, same with the ebook, or even branding an ebook to give or sell — so much stuff, not knowing where to begin, and I HAVE to start deleting email (without reading!) cause I spend most of my time trying to stop my email account(s) from reaching the 1000 per name that will cause them to bounce and I’ll miss something important, not to mention my bank account is dwindling from membership sites and $7 sales ..
I feel I’m drowning and have done nothing but SPENT bucks, not made the first one! I need a SIMPLE plan .. 1 - make a backend page, (oh wait, what do I want to sell? that should come first?, 2-make a disclaimer, 3-start a blog .. I mean I can think of a hundred things I need to do, I just don’t know where to start in all the chaos.
So, How do I figure out what comes first .. and I mean literally .. make a some sig files, make a back end page, decide what you’re gonna sell, each individual thing I have to do . .and in the right order .. it’s the order I think I need, like a checklist .. when I get this done and this done, I should have blog ready, when I get done, my ebook should be ready, when I get this done .. my autoresponder is ready .. is that too much to ask? Yes, I have videos (yes!), just need that order, I guess.......
If you are burned out with information overload.....here are a few suggestions:
You can’t create an opt-in page or sales page if you don’t have the product for it. And it really doesn’t matter exactly when you create your autoresponder account as long as it’s before you make your opt-in and sales pages live online.
Some marketers say to start with the backend first, meaning the first product you choose is really your backend product. Then you find a complimentary lower-priced product to sell as your front end product. Personally, I think either way works. But definitely start with choosing a product to sell. (I’ll assume you’ve already verified that there’s a market for it because you didn’t ask about that.)
You should also have 2 or 3 more products in mind that you’ll try to sell them after their initial purchase. You could use one as a one-time offer and the others for backend sales later. But at least KNOW what other products you want to sell to your new customer list, even if you don’t have the sales pages ready when you launch your first product.
You could start a blog before launching your product, but in this case I would say worry about your main website and product first, then blog later. There is no hard rule about “needing” everything all at once. You’ll run yourself ragged if you try to do it all at first.
My best suggestion is to write down everything you need to do, then number them in logical order. You’ll be able to see better what comes first, then next, and so on if you have a list in front of you. Check off each item as you complete it and make sure to work on just one thing at a time. Trying to do too much at once is the worst thing you can do to yourself.

Wow, I just read a new FREE report that pulls no punches about how some people would rather make excuses about not making money than to actually get down to the grindstone and make money.
It reminded me of something a friend said to me recently as he was getting more and more discouraged about not making much money…
He said “I don’t have your contacts” and “I don’t lead your charmed life.”
And just how does he think I got those contacts? It certainly isn’t because I lead a charmed life. I worked hard for them and everything else I have.
‘Nuff said or I’ll go on a rant about excuses.
As I said, this report pulls no punches.
