Don't get in trouble with Resell Rights Products!

If you use Resell/Resale products in your marketing, there are some things you need to
know to stay out of trouble. If you don't use these products as I explain them below,
you may be liable for copyright infringement.

These are the types of products that can be offered for resale. NOTE: Resell and Resale
are often used interchangeably, so I am grouping them together for this article.

Resell Rights/Resale Rights = YOU have the rights to sell this product to your
customers, subscribers, etc. and keep 100% of the profit. THEY do not get the rights to
resell these products.

Master Resell/Resale Rights = YOU have the rights to sell this product to your
customers, subscribers, etc and keep 100% of the profit, and THEY also receive the
rights to sell to their customers, subscribers, etc and keep 100% of the profit; however,
THEIR customers, subscribers, etc.  DO NOT get the rights to sell these products.

Full Resell/Resale Rights = Everyone has the right to sell these products and keep
100% of the profit, and pass the rights down.

The further restrictions with these products is you cannot alter them in any way. If you
want the privilege to alter the product you need to have Private Label Rights

Private Label Rights = This gives you the freedom to change the product in any way and
put your name on it as author, and sell it as your own and keep 100% of the profit. 
You can decide what rights you want to give with the product, so basically you treat the
product as your own creation.

There are other products as explained below:

Give Away Rights = You can give the product away for free; however, in most cases you
cannot change it in any way.

Royalty Rights = You have to pay the original product author or franchiser a percentage
of each sale made by you. This normally applies to physical products such as books you
would purchase in a bookstore, or a franchise such as Amazon, etc.

So now that you know a little about what types of resell rights are and their meaning,
you should be able to better determine if a particular product is worth investing your
time and or money in.
