As golfers get older, their backswing tends to get shorter causing them to lose distance, accuracy and consistency. Just by doing the following, you can improve your game:

  1. Grip your club lightly. If you grip too hard, your arm and shoulder muscles tense causing you to restrict your backswing
  2. On full swings with woods and irons, put more weight on your right foot. You will get a headstart on your swing and have less weight shift.
  3. Tilt your head in the direction of your backswing. For instance, if you are lefthanded, tilt your head to the left, right handed to the right. If you need to, you can tilt your chin in the direction before you swing.
