	The Internet and Me
Hi.  This is the beginning tale of my experiences on the Internet. I have been a secretary for over 30 years and have worked on the computer for about 15 years.  I always thought I knew a lot UNTIL the day  I decided to start a website.  They said that  it is easy to build a website. NOT!!!!!  My husband, Roger, who never wanted to learn anything about buliding websites, at the time of this writing he now has half a dozen.  I bought  ebooks and programs that talked about building a website.  I had more memory eaten up by ebooks and applications that either I did not have time to read, or were to techie to understand.  I'm more of a hands on type of person.  Walk me through something or show me how to do something and I got it.. I was my worst enemy.  Things just did not click for me.  I tell Roger that I had gremlins in computer.  As soon as I thought I had something coming together the gremlins would take over.  The computer would close on me without notice, or after hours of working on something I would forget to save it and I would time out and could not get what I was working back, and have to start all over.  The frustration level was high and all I wanted to do was give up.  I knew that was something I just could not do.  I had a mission.  I wanted a website.  I wanted to bring something of quality and besides I was not going to let this computer beat me. In the coming posts I will tell you about some of the people, ebooks, programs that I came across so that You will see that we are better than all the gremlins inside our computers.  Lets all move  from being Newbies to Pro.  Until then sit back, have a cup of tea, and just Breathe.  It really can be done and You too will learn how!!!!!!!!
