Tip on paying off your debt faster
I know a lot of people know about this but I also know there are many that do not. So for those of you that don't I thought I would give you a heads up.
There are two schools of thought on debt reduction. One theory is to start by paying more on the ones with the highest interest. Which makes good sense since those are the ones that your getting charged more for however, to me the theory of paying of the cheapest then using that payment to add to your next one and so on is the better way to go. It has worked for me many times in the past.
Not only does the money you get when you pay off a smaller debt help on other bills with higher interest it also gives you a feeling of accomplishment when you can write (paid in full) on a bill.
The very act of being able to do that stokes your excitement to move forward to the next bill and so on.
Give it a try it does work but you have to stick to using the extra money from a bill you paid off to add to another bill. DON'T go oh boy what can I buy now! :)
