Why aren't we happy?

Do you ever wonder why no matter how much money you make, no matter how much (stuff) you collect or what your status in the community is you are still not truly happy? More and more people are asking themselves this same question. There might be a very simple answer. “Doing for others.”
Now that is simple. We may have even thought of that before but something stopped us. Maybe we did not really have the time to do something for someone else because we had to take care of us first. You know like working overtime so we could buy the next generation ipod, new car, television or designer clothes. Maybe we think well I would like to give to charities but I don’t have that much money. This of course is all good reasoning however, I am not talking about giving your lifesaving away.
We will do this in stages because I know change hurts.
Step one: When you are at a restaurant, the food is great, and you are feeling generous so you tip the server right? That is very commendable but the next time why not tip the cook as well? It need not be much. I mean you tipped the person that brought you the great food why not the cook. Even for someone that does not have a lot of money you can still tell the person where you pay out to please tell the cook the food was wonderful.
Doing just a simple little something for someone else is pure happiness.
