When Asthma Rears its Ugly Head

2007-05-17 / 02:48:06 PM Greetings All!

I have three asthmatics in my house and at times like this it can be hard to deal with. The whether changes and the high pollen levels make for a really nasty mix. My Children have Asthma and seeing them sick is probably one of the hardest things I face in my life.

Since people with Asthma are prone to getting more infections/colds then people without Asthma it is hard to deal with. I fight to keep them healthy, giving them all the nutrients their body needs daily.

Aside from foods what else can help with their immune system? Regular Exercise and Sleep! Believe it or not sleep helps to rejuvenate the body and repair itself.

Some uncommonly known signs of Asthma.:

Many of us are unaware of little tell tale signs of Asthma. So I have jotted a few down!

1. Persistent cough without any other symptoms of a cold.

2. Scratching the neck: My son seems to scratch his neck whenever his Asthma is acting up.

3. Deep Contractions in the abdomen: When a child or adult is having a hard time breathing their abdomen is showing signs of work!

Well I hope this helps

Until Next time!
Smiles,
Lisa
