Tupperware & Internet Marketing2006-03-23 Posted at 03:03:54 PMTupperware and Internet Marketing
You may wonder how on earth I could mention Tupperware and Internet Marketing in the same sentence. What do they have to do with each other? Well, I opened my kitchen cabinets the other day to get a container to put some leftovers in and looked at the jumble of containers. I don’t even know what all is in there anymore as I just toss in containers and close the door. I end up trying to find the lid that goes with this bowl, or the square container that goes with this lid, looking for a particular piece of Tupperware to fit my leftovers.
This is what often happens with the “containers” we get from various internet marketers, you know – the free books, the special offers. We download them and they disappear into the abyss known as our computer. Unless we are very diligent, we may never be able to find them again without spending a considerable amount of time searching for them among the free music downloads, the free games, the free e-cards, the free ringtones and other free downloads. How many times do we forget whether or not we have master resell rights, or resell rights, or giveaway rights, or only personal use rights? How many things do we have that we can offer our clients – if ONLY we could find where we saved them too???
How often do we do this to ourselves? I know for me it is way too often. We have all heard the phrase that there is a place for everything and everything in its place and I am sure that there are actually some people in this world who live by this philosophy. I am just not currently one of them, (and thankfully am not married to or living with one of them as the outcome might be disastrous). I thought about how important it is to become organized, both with my Tupperware and with my online business, the freebies as well as the books and products I have actually purchased. I started to sort the other day (not my Tupperware, my download files), and realized that it is going to take me a considerable amount of time to reorganize these items and how much more productive (and rich) I could have been if I had simply put them in the right place at the time. However, I know that I need to FOCUS on my business and it is important that everything be in the right place for easy access, so I will persevere. After I complete my computer sorting I might even tackle the kitchen cabinets. Wish me luck!!! Fran Watson P.S. To be perfectly honest I'd really much rather be writing my poems, maybe even some famous poems. Some of my poetry is getting famous. "RISK" has even been published in the Lulu Magazine and chosen for a graduation publication. Many of them can be found online along with my articles on job searching.
