ABC's of Internet Marketing2006-01-20 Posted at 01:16:49 AMABC’s of Internet Marketing
A – Ask for Advice. A good place to start is with Tony Tezak's Guide. “One of the most comprehensive manuals on using traffic exchanges ever published.”
B – Be Real – put your picture on your site, be available for people to contact you. Make a personal splash page to advertise your site or product. Not sure how to make a splash page? Check out Jon Olson – http://www.hitexchangesurvivalkit.com/alacarte.php C – Consult Talk to your upline, your program director, attend conferences – online and offline, encourage your downline.
D – Develop Mentors Find out who is the best at what you want to do. Call them, write them, ask them questions and develop yourself with their advice.
E – Explore your options Take some time to make your decisions, don’t just jump in. If you are new to Internet Marketing and want some good advice, come to Rob Gehring’s 10Khits F – Focus, focus, focus If you try to do too many things you won’t accomplish anything you’ll be too busy running around.
G – Goal setting What do you want to accomplish? Do you want to be rich? What is your definition of rich? $500 / day, $10,000 / day? $100,000 / year? Break your goal down into smaller steps. Are you selling a $30 product? How many sales will it take to reach your goal? How will you achieve that?
H – Help others Share your expertise, build your network of friends. You never know who will be in a position to help you later.
I – Information – there is a lot of information to help you get started, sometimes too much. Try to focus on the main priorities. What do you need to know first?
J – Join others at conferences (both online and offline) as often as possible. Talk to them about what is working and what isn’t.
K – Keep going. Most people quit too soon – before all their hard work has a chance to pay off.
L – Learn as much as you can. Never think you know it all. There is always someone who knows something more or different. Find that person and pick their brain.
M – Make the most of your advertising dollars. Figure out what you can afford and the best place to advertise your particular product or service. One that I really like is Traffic Swarm N – Never trash talk another person. It only hurts you in the long run.
O – Online is not the only way. Try some offline methods too. Make up business cards with your website. Post flyers with your website information. Put an ad in the paper to direct people to your site.
P – Pay attention to what is going on. What are the trends? Who are the money makers? How can you find out more?
Q – Quit whining about your lack of sales. Look at what works and do more of it. If nothing is working, find someone to help you figure out why.
R – Rest and Relaxation Take time for your family. Don’t become so focused on making money that you forget the real meaning of life.
S – Simplify It’s all to easy to get caught up in the latest rush for this product or that product. Take some time to see if it fits your target market – if not, leave it alone.
T – Track your advertising. You need to know what is working for you. There are a number of programs you can use.
U – Understand your limits. Understand what Internet Marketing is all about. If you don’t understand it, you won’t be successful.
V – Vision leads to Victory Make sure you keep your vision clear and in the forefront, then follow the steps to victory.
W – Wisdom, not wishing is what makes things happen. It takes a lot of work to get it right. Don’t fall for those ads that say you can be making thousands of dollars overnight. Anyone can - if they have thousands to invest to start off.
X – Xpect failure. That’s how you learn what works and what doesn’t.
Y – You are the only person you can count on. You are the one who has to make it happen. You are the CEO of your life.
Z – Zeal is necessary for success. Zero is what you will get if you don’t have it.
Thanks to Richard Taylor Advertising KnowHow, Click Crazey, Hits Connect and Focus 4 the Future among others, Jon Olson, ProTrafficShop and many others, Rob Gehring, 10KHits4U, and Joe Sansoucie, Frog Search. You all inspired me and made my night with the “after hours” discussion in the conference room on Wednesday January 18th, 2006. (I couldn't even go right to sleep after Joe closed the conference room. I had gone to bed, turned out the lights and then I jumped back up, grabbed some paper and wrote the ABC's.....LOL) Keep on keeping on.....all the best in 2006.... let's make it the best year ever!!!!
