Unexpected Holiday...sort of

Well, here I am at the computer writing an entry for my blog instead of being at the office working....thanks to the freezing rain last night and my offer to check in on my boyfriend's house while he was away.

I decided to stay over rather than drive the rest of the way home last night because the roads were so bad, however this morning I slid sideways down his driveway and then got my car stuck in the middle of the road, finally got it going again and parked it for a while. Went out again and tried to turn around in the neighbour's driveway where I once again slid sideways. At that point I decided that discretion was the better part of valour and parked it once again. I threw salt down and eventually I will be able to go somewhere, but for now I will just sit back with a cup of java and play / work on the computer.

Time to grab another cup.....have a wonderful day, no matter what you are doing!!!

the weather in peterborough got bad really fast! it was fine before my 2 friends and i went to walmart, and when we came out we were told no busses or even cabs were running! a 40 minute walk from home on a good day, we thought we'd be spending the night! Luckily we waited around near the bus stop for about an hour (hoping for a bus!) and one eventually came. The driver said they were doing main stops and streets hoping to get stranded people home. she also said that earlier that she'd gotten her bus stuck in a snowbank. took my 10 minutes to walk the block (150 meters?) from my bus stop to my house. So I'm glad you're safe!
