I left the church service pondering the parable of the sewing of the seed and thought about how it applied to marketing on the internet. The scripture speaks of us as different soils upon which the seeds of God’s word are scattered. Some soils are hard, indifferent, inhospitable and seeds just cannot take hold. I liken these to the sceptics who surf the net, reading the various marketing materials, the webpages designed to sell a product or an idea, and dismissing them as meaningless drivel. Some soils appear fertile with a thin layer of good soil and the seed quickly takes root and germinates, products are ordered, and learning starts, but then the weeds spring up – the naysayers, the overload of information, the wondering of which way to turn, who to believe – and the ideas are dropped, tossed away and never looked at again. They give up before they begin to make any money. 95% of the people we are told fall into these two categories. The best soil is fertile, the seed is sown and takes root, is watered and fed by the sun and the plant grows strong and tall. These are the people who will go on to become the top marketers, the ones who will learn and grow as they work with their mentors. Without cultivation, most plants will fail to grow and some will become wild. We fertilize our spiritual and marketing gardens by feeding ourselves with worship, prayer, study and associating with believers who can encourage and strengthen us in faith and in marketing techniques. Where do you fit in? Are you fertile soil, just waiting for the right seed to be planted, ready and willing to do what it takes to produce a bursting crop? If so, then come on over to 10khits4u where you will learn and be nourished by Rob Gehrig and the other members of the 10khits4u team. Our spiritual and marketing blooms can brighten the world for others and we feed others with gifts of time, energy and money, given from thankful hearts in response to God’s love. Jesus’ kind of love puts the well-being of the other before your own. Probably you will not find a community that does this perfectly, but rejoice when you find one that seeks to be guided by this principle – put down roots there, bloom and bear good fruit. Rob Gehrig and the 10khits4unow team put you and your growth at the top of the list. I don’t understand why no one is buying.” Let me shed some light on this mystery. Most often, when site owners (or professional copywriters for that matter) write “search engine optimized” copy, they develop tunnel vision. They are so focused on the placement of keyphrases throughout the copy that they neglect something very important... the customer! Because the immediate task at hand “seems” to be getting the site ranked high, the writer neglects to take out his or her crystal ball and gaze into the future. What should you be asking the crystal ball? “What happens when the customer gets to my site?” Oops! Didn’t think of that? Don’t feel embarrassed. Many people don’t. Developing SEO (search engine optimized) copy is like creating a complete circle. You have to have good keyword saturation in order to get ranked in those prime spots. You have to have keyword-rich title and description tags (mostly the title tag) to land in the top 10. Once you achieve that your site starts drawing in surfers. Now that they’ve clicked to your site, what happens? The copy has to give them what they want/need. That’s the missing piece to the puzzle and the factor that causes so many people to scratch their heads in disbelief. When writing SEO copy, you have to think of the beginning AND the end of the process. You have to create copy that satisfies both the engine and the customer. Once you do, you’ll not only have boatloads of traffic, but you’ll have the sales that go along with it. So, there… mystery solved! Or at least part of it. We’ve covered the “why,” now let’s look at the “how.” 1. Know Your Target Audience 2. Stop Selling and Start Solving 3. Appeal To Emotions You most likely took a look at all the options and – taking some logic into account – bought the car that suited you best within your price range. Emotion sells! No, I’m not talking about getting mushy. What I AM talking about is touching the emotional chord that draws customers to your product or service. Those problems you found out about when doing steps #1 and #2 above… use them to add emotion to your copy. With these three vital elements in your forethoughts, you can sit down and write your copy – with your keyphrases in mind – for tremendous results. When you understand the entire process and take the time to learn to write emotional, sales-oriented, SEO copy, you will keep your traffic count high and your checkbook balance higher. © 2003 Karon Thackston Karon is Owner and CEO of Marketing Words, Inc. who offers targeted copywriting, copy editing & ezine article services. What we think about often enough is what is created in our lives. Energy follows thought, and where we put our thoughts is where we accumulate energy. If we worry and fret over life's problems we give our energy to them and that creates torment for us. Does thinking about how bad you feel over a financial debt pay the debt for you? No, but if you spend your time thinking creatively and giving your mind a rest from disturbing thoughts, an answer to how you might erase the debt will have the chance and the room to grow. Our minds can be our greatest assets or our greatest liabilities; it all depends on what type of thoughts we fill them with. At Success University you have the opportunity to choose the area you would most like to focus on to help you grow your business. The Comfort Zone I used to have a comfort zone where I knew I wouldn't fail. The same four walls and busywork were really more like jail. I longed so much to do the things I'd never done before, But stayed inside my comfort zone and paced the same old floor. I said it didn't matter that I wasn't doing much. I said I didn't care for things like commission cheques and such. I claimed to be so busy with things inside my zone, But deep inside I longed for something special of my own. I couldn't let my life go by just watching others win. I held my breath; I stepped outside and let the change begin. I took a step and with new strength I'd never felt before, I kissed my comfort zone goodbye and closed and locked the door. If you're in a comfort zone, afraid to venture out, Remember that all winners were at one time filled with doubt. A step or two and words of praise can make your dreams come true. Reach for your future with a smile; Success is there for you! Author Unknown If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got. Prologue For as long as modern scientist and theorists can remember, we have struggled over the question 'How big is the Universe?'. The answer to that question, we imagine, could not even be considered by the human mind... it’s just too big. And once you have figured out how large the Universe is to begin with, well then there is the trouble of counting all the different dimensions and adding them to the total space. Really, no one has that much time on their hands. So, for the sake of convenience, we shall focus primarily on only two such dimensions. The physical world which we all live in now, and that which, for lack of any originality or better naming conventions, is known as the 18th Dimension. No one is quite sure how the 18th Dimension came to be, and how old it is, really because no one has ever bothered to ask, but it exists nonetheless. The laws of physics, which many of Earth’s scientists hold so dear, however, have no hold, and indeed no business operating there at all. Hence, the vast majority of plants, animals and intelligent life forms of this world tend to have more of a basis in the fantasies and dreams that one might have on a hot summer day, and then they do with anything that we might be about considering to be 'real'. At the center of this strange world, floating several miles above the ground, exists a large castle of black stone. If you look closely at it, you can sometimes see the towers and walls twist and move from one part of the structure to another, as the castle has a habit of reshaping itself, either by itself or some whim of its inhabitants. Watching the castle, however, can often prove to be more of a challenge than it first seems. Oh, not because it is hard to see by any means, it is rather obtrusive, set against the backdrop of the sky and surrounding landscape, but more so because the variety of creatures that dwell within the confines of the 18th Dimension. Most of which would not be classified under the herbivore category. Sitting in any one place, for more than a little while, can quite often be hazardous to one's health. Living inside the floating fortress, is a man named Nhicodima, though not many would know him by this name. To the inhabitants of this world who posses the intellectual capacity to comprehend things such as names, he is known as The CyberWarlock. He is the self-proclaimed ruler of this world, and since no one has yet to challenge him on this point and continue breathing, the title stands. Once, a long time ago, there were philosophers who lived in the mountains somewhere near the coast of the Fire Sea, or so we are told. According to the stories, they had some interesting theories regarding the origins of The CyberWarlock. Since the technology level of what passes for civilization in this world, does not even come close to the technology that is part of the Warlock himself, it is an accepted fact, that he is not native to the 18th Dimension. Since there are no longer any of these philosophers left in the land, the only one who could possibly answer the question of the warlock's origins, is Nhicodima himself, and so far, there haven't been too many foolish enough to attempt the task of engaging him in conversation. At least, not many who did so and returned to tell the tale.
It Begins CyberWarlock sat back in his chair, his fingers absently tracing patterns along the leather armrests, as he focused his attentions upon a shimmering window of light, which floated in the air before him. The window flashed with images of people and places, shifting from one location to another every few seconds. If anyone from this realm knew what a television was, they might liken his current activities to 'channel surfing'. The images in the window finally stopped morphing and the picture it now held, was that of a typical downtown street on a small planet in the Milky Way Galaxy, affectionately known by its inhabitants as Earth. "Ah, there it is." CyberWarlock said aloud. With a wave of his hand, the window expanded in size, allowing for a larger viewing area. "A myriad of worlds later, I have found it once more."....... It chastens vice, guides virtue, and gives grace and government to genius. Education may cost financial sacrifice and mental pain, but in both money and life values it will repay every cost one hundred fold. Education should be as gradual as the moonrise, perceptible not in progress but in result. Remember -- a diamond is a piece of coal that stuck to the job. Itching for what you want doesn't do much good; you've got to scratch it. Learn from the masters. Take advantage of what they have learned. There is no point in repeating mistakes if you can avoid them. http://www.franwatson.successuniversity.com/slim See you at the top!
