IS THIS A SUCCESS FORMULA WITH CRUDE OIL?
Taranaki Is Unique In New Zealand, Because we are a Supplier and User of this Stuff, we call Crude Oil.
We have Thousands of Barrels of Crude Oil Pumped from The Wells, Onland and Offshore from our Coast.
But is it efficient to use our Precious Crude Oil to make Petrol?
Is it efficient to use that Petrol to run our Vehicles?
Is This a Success Formula with Crude Oil?
Here are some Statistics to Consider:
It is estimated that the amount of Crude Oil needed to make a single litre of petrol required 25 tonnes of ancient plant life
to be cooked at between 100 and 135 degrees celsius for several million years.
At least 12% of the energy of that Crude oil is lost in getting it from the oil well, through the
Refining and distribution system, to the tank of a car.
Then, a further 72% of the oils's energy value is lost through heat loss and mechanical friction in converting that petrol to power at the car's wheels.
If you drive a large car that weighs 2000 kg,and you weigh 80kg,then only 4% of the energy moving the car forward is
actually transporting you - with the other 96% transporting your vehicle.
Taken to the full extent, you lose 86% of energy from the oil well to the car's wheels, while only a third of the remaining 14% of energy moves the car forward, and only 4% of that effort actually moves you.
That means that the energy loss from the oil well to the task of moving your body is an incredible 99.8%.
SO, IS THIS A SUCCESS FORMULA WITH CRUDE OIL?
The Statistics for Crude Oil are the same no matter what part of the World you live,USA,UK or where ever you are living, Food for Thought.
