Social Networking Sites -- More To Love

Social Networking Sites -- More to Love Social Networking sites are becoming quite the rave. And for good reason. They are a friendly way to meet people and to find like minded individuals who share your interests. What is a new wrinkle however is the way people are starting to use these to promote their business. While I am new at this, I can tell you that there is research that bears this fact out. Two of the biggest social networking sites, MySpace and Facebook,are beginning to rival the big search engines like Google and Yahoo with their sheer traffic numbers. Social networking sites are slated to be one of the biggest trends right now on the internet. Why am I telling you this? Because this is where you want to market and is the future of your business online! There are three sites that I am familar with that I can give personal recommendations on: YUWIE Yuwie is a friendly social networking site that features paying its users for page views to their profiles. It pays ten levels down and is drawing the strongest traffic out of the three sites I mentioned (rank 2,159 on Alexa). It features blogs, numerous interest clubs, and tons of stuff to do. From the business side, Yuwie is a great way to promote but the blogging feature is a bit hard to play with. Just launched it is quickly catching up to Yuwie in terms of members and tons of people are joining it everyday. If you are a member of DiveForIncome, Chris Wysocki has caught the fever on this one and it is for good reason. FriendsWin is poised to be one of the biggest social networking sites and the opportunity to get on it's money train may not be much better than right now. It is a cutting edge technology savvy site that will soon be most popular amongst surfers and people who love super cool video resumes and dating profiles. You can become an IMR (FriendsWin lingo for Independent Marketing Rep) and earn 5 levels down with the pay plan. For $9.97 a month it's not a bad deal. The best part of FriendsWin is not even on the site. It's called FriendsWin University and its sole misssion is to make you a total success as an IMR. The thing to remember is there are a lot of business people here and you have to pretty much brand yourself on your profile. Still there are lots of educational tools here and you can get a first class education in internet marketing from rubbing shoulders with many of the success stories on DirectMatches front page. If you are a beginner, swapping tales with more knowledgeable marketers will grow your business by leap years. You can join for free and upgrade when you are ready. Why should you join these sites? These are the future of your business and tons of contacts and potential prospects will be depending on how good you get at promoting your business on sites just like these. A friend of a friend of a friend is how business will get done on the internet in the near future and my advice to you is to join these sites and learn to use them to your benefit. Hello sports and kingdom fans. Welcome to my first post of 2008. If you are smart, you are checking the pulse and planning exactly where you want your business to go in 2008. Leaders take note: with the holidays over, it's a new prospecting season and there's no better time than now to build your business. One of the things you should be doing is learning search engine optimization so you can groom your way to the top of the search engines. Continuing to build your lists using lead generation advertising is also important. Concentrating on these two activites and blogging and keeping fresh content on your site will build a solid traffic foundation and keep customers for your business. One of my focus points this year will be auto responders for mailing list leads. Follow up is where the money is and consistently working with the leads you generated with your lead generation advertising is where you will get the best value. Just keep in mind that if you keep in touch with your customer base and give them value for their association with you (i.e. give them the information they seek), they will reward you eventually. Splash pages are another great tool to work with. Just be certain when you create them that you point them to a page that will place the mailing list leads they create on your list. If anything, one of the lessons I learned in 2007 is that no one can insure that happens better than you. Then you can send out your own recommendations to that list. Success is a continuous improvement process and if you keep working on the basics the only direction you will head is up.
