Hi everybody! Had a great week and am feeling good about the goals I set for myself and my progress toward meeting them. Remember it takes a team to get you where you want to go and I am very, very proud of my online team. I just want to encourage everyone to keep up the hard work and keep encouraging each other. Superb job on following the system and working with the new people to show them everything they need to know to get started on this adventure we call "internet marketing".

Again we are pursuing the course and talking this week about creating lifetime income streams and building your list. No one is born being a leader, it is the training, perserverance and dedication to achieving your goals that transforms you into one. With that said, let's look at the particulars of mastering these goals.

Number one, as always is building your list. I am a firm believer in the fact that it is people that make or break a business and you should manage and perserve this as your business's prime asset. Communicate and talk to people in your group on a regular basis and try to always work to see that they get value out of their association with you. This might involve motivating your team by rewarding them from time to time for completing tasks or working extra hard to do something that benefits the group. Be eager to offer praise and available to help if they need you.

Encourage education and developing of needed skills to the leaders on your team. The more they get to know, they will pass downline to others, freeing you up to assist new people coming into the team. This also makes the income duplication process a whole lot smoother as your leaders will soon learn how to duplicate your success with their own.

Number two is creating lifetime income streams. Don't be afraid to recommend your best programs to your group and encourage them to join if it benefits them. Do respect their primary business and offer support for helping them develop it. Often, people are hungry to develop income streams they can be in profit quickly with to get support for their primary business while it is developing. Middle of June and vacation still seems so far away. My 7 year old son Javon is eager to hit the road and so am I. I know lots of you who read this stuff regularly are either on vacation or thinking about it so think about me when you think of fun and vacation :-).

The pundit of the day is list contacts and networking. A lot of people think of talking to strangers as some out of the ordinary chore when fact is, most of us do it everyday. Only the message is not sales, or trying to convince a person that a purchase is in their best interest. A little like stage fright and a lot like trying to eat those not-so tasty veggies from your plate.

The best approach is to build rapport with the person and talk about common interests. A lot of time I just ask a prospect out the blue what they like doing. I ask a little about family, where they live, the weather, etc. just to break the ice. Sooner or later, when they feel kind of comfortable with me, I ask them why they joined from my site and how they think it is going to benefit them. Often, like you, they will work from home and will be eager to talk about it.

I get all kinds of answers as you might expect and I use the opportunity to let them talk so that I get a good idea where their head is screwed on when it comes to their business. You should make the first contact brief and light and try to use subsequent contacts to build your relationship with them.

You won't always win but chances are over time, you will develop a team that will have a good relationship with you and respects your opinion simply because you take the time to listen. Get plenty of practice and soon you will master the art of using your list contacts and networking with your team to maximum advantage.

How to Earn Extra Money Online

Hi everybody! Another birthday gone as I turned 45 this past Friday. Funny, I don't feel any older and perhaps that's a good thing. As always, I used the time for reflection and looking at achieved goals, progress on new ones, and long term goals. Fun stuff.

The subject on this week's blog is everyone's favorite: how to earn extra money online. I get so frustrated at seeing people who sign up with us from week to week who have joined some new program, been fed all kinds of garbage about advertising from their sponsor and are so confused they don't know which way is up.

Sometimes we are able to educate them and get them to stop and see what is happening with their business, but not always. So the king is gonna take some time in the blog today to demonstrate how easy it is to earn extra money using a multiple streams of income approach. You can work at home, use your computer and be successful if you know how. Lets start at step one.

    •    Build your list of leads. Yes, this one has been said many times but I cannot emphasize enough how very important it is. Starting with a lead generation system will get you people to network and follow up with and that will lead us to step two.

    •    Follow up with your leads. This one is simple too although folks get bogged down in the details. Pick up the phone and call, add their email to your messengers and send a welcome email. If you are not warmly received or have someone who is a "tire kicker" don't get discouraged and expend your energy worrying about it. Simply talk to the individual and ask questions about what they are trying to accomplish online and ask them why they signed up. They will usually answer for you and lead the conversation where it needs to go. If you can't contact them after several tries move on. You are trying to build a business and this is a sorting process that will work if you follow it.

    •    Introduce your new prospects to the idea of earning extra money and multiple streams of income. Easy, easy, easy. Most people just have to be shown what programs are easy to join and produce a quick income in. Say for instance we have program X which is a traffic exchange program which offers a $5 upgrade and 50% commission. If your new prospects are already generating leads using program X, it is not too much of a stretch for you to make a recommendation to them to upgrade. Voila! You just made $2.50. Repeating this over and over again with your prospects is what starts the process of getting multiple streams of income working to make you profitable.

    •    Reinvest in your business. Once you have started success in growing an income for your team, the next logical step is using that income to reinvest in a quality primary business. There are tons of these out there and all I can tell you is take your time and stick with quality performers you can recommend to your team with pride. Do your homework and check out any company thoroughly before you join and keep working your system when you bring in new prospects.

You can work from home and make a decent living online if you start with the foundation that you are in business and treat it as a business. Keep within your budget and work to make yourself profitable. Remember: this is your business and you should be advertising yourself and not "the company" or "the opportunity".
