| Just like a lot of you, I spend time promoting my site online. When I was new to internet marketing, I tried a lot of the marketing gimmicks out there. Running affiliate downline pages on the traffic exchanges. Sending emails out to purchased lists of leads. Co-oping with other people to buy even more leads. You name it, chances are I tried it. Now as a more seasoned marketer, I realize that gimmicks don't work. You have to take the time to develop your own marketing advertising in a systematic manner. It's an easy process that anyone can learn an be successful with. The key is not to reinvent the wheel. There are successful free advertising systems you can use and what even better is you can always start out without spending a lot out of your pocket. What it takes is discipline and focus. Here are some tips and free advertising ideas you can use right now:
By far the best free advertising system I have seen is a program called MoneyLegs. You can begin with them for free and develop your advertising like a pro. Check them out in my ad banners below. Keep your advertising highly targeted and built around the audience you want to attract. You are not trying to market to the world, only to people who are interested in what you have to offer. By being systematic and constant, your marketing advertising will help you to achieve your goals. |

Hi friends and loyal royal subjects,
Have been away for a bit from my blog publishing but I am back with more tips and suggestions to help you out with your business online.
Today's talk centers on site popularity. No doubt, you've seen tons of ads offering you to "get to number one on Google or Yahoo" or offering to mass submit your site to hundreds if not thousands of search engines and directories and such. These are not smart ways to win popularity for your site and may even get you branded as a spammer in many places online. There are much more better and efficient ways to promote your site and build a good traffic following.
First, get yourself some tools. A good keyword tool such as Good Keywords or Wordtracker is a must if you want to win at the search engine game. Invest what you need to get one of these and give it a good workout whenever you start optimizing web pages. Another tool I use is the Alexa website so I know how much traffic is coming to my site versus my competition. Google offers a great keyword tool from its Adwords program that you can gauge how much traffic keywords you have selected stack up as far as attracting search traffic and how much competition you can expect for a keyword.
You want to get in the habit of building links to your site from other webmasters or sites that are relevant to yours. Doing this efficiently is a trick but niche directories are a good way to start the process. You can find these by doing a search in the major search directories using your keywords plus the term "directory" or "niche directory". Once you have located a number of directories, you can submit your site (some will let you submit pages as well). If the directory has a lot of traffic coming to it (you can use Alexa to check this) you may want to consider getting a paid listing. These generally run from $15 to $30 dollars a year for the ad and can be beneficial to helping you make a permanent home in the higher rankings on the major search engines.
Making forum posts and blog posts linked to pages on your site also gets you more play from the major search engines. They see this as fresh contest and often reward you for these links. Having a blog within your domain is a big plus and is a highly recommended move if you can manage it well.
Getting articles from other authors for visitors to your site can be an asset. I usually place these in a newsletter that is accessible from the main pages of my site so readers can browse through them. They also count as a plus when the spiders come from the search engines and this just gives my site popularity a boost in the fresh content category.
Once you get the hang of it, you will come up with your own means of improving your site popularity by building content and promoting out in the internet arena where your audience can find you. While it is not hard, it is a continuous process and you need to work at it to stay competitive.

| It's a Jungle Out There... Many a new marketer joins up to an opportunity, follows the wisdom of their sponsors and up line and finds that nothing happens no matter how hard they try. In desperation, they throw money at the problem to no avail. Sound familiar? What is missing is what I like to call "proper business education". An online business is a business like any other enterprise and to be successful at it, you must learn the basics and follow them every day to get the success you are looking for. So what are the basics? 1) Start with a plan and goals. Get your ideas and direction for your business on paper. Think about where you want to be 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and 3 years with your plan. Then, figure out how you intend to accomplish each step. Doing so will make you plan realistically and you will come out with a more practical plan in the beginning. 2) Execute. Break down your goals into daily, weekly and monthly plans of action. If you are a net worker, go over these plans with up line and start working on them right away. 3) Review and reevaluate. Look over what you are doing and make sure it is working the way you planned it to. If not, consider making changes and stick with what is working if you find it to be effective. 4) Get educated. Invest in your long term career by buying books, guides, videos in your chosen business niche. Do research on trends in your business fields regularly and try to stay on the cutting edge. Study your competition and know what they are doing so you can stay ahead of them. This is by far what many marketers fail to do and is the key to long term success. Yes, it's a jungle of obstacles out there waiting to derail you and your business, but by being smart, you can avoid the pitfalls and surge ahead to succeed. Branding Yourself Online - The Discovery ProcessHello everyone. Hoped you had a great Thanksgiving . I am writing this from my mother-in-law's home in Paris, Texas where it is a bit cold and windy outside but having the time of my life with my daughter Shamise and her two kids, Jaden and Jamarion and the rest of the family. We went outside and picked pecans off the ground with the kids and had a fabulous time. This week topic is on branding yourself online. Branding is a self discovery process as it involves the display of your personal internet domain and selling yourself online. You try things, tweak pages and try to make yourself attractive to your prospects online. The key is to progress through all of this while gaining recognition in the search engines, monetizing your site so you get income from it and making your site distinct from everyone's else's. Quite a balancing act but it can be done. Let's look at some basics for branding yourself online:
Branding is not an overnight process but it is a bit like building a building one brick at a time. Ignore people who tell you you can "get rich" overnight and resolve that you will take the time to build your business properly. Taking the time to do it right now will give you a business you can proud of and a sterling reputation online. Downline Integrity: Passing Fad or Future Trend?
This week seems to have stirred thoughts within me and passions that I had when I first started my internet business. I usually do a teaching lesson with my blogs but this one will be my own unadulterated opinion. So be forewarned and judge my comments for yourself. We had a great open discussion this past Thursday night in the GJW conference room on the subject of downline integrity and how it relates to the traffic exchange industry. Many of the notable traffic exchange owners were there and voiced their opinions on the subject. There were good opinions and bad and I learned a lot from listening to the comments of those I disagreed with. One owner who was there made a statement about downline building being a total waste of time and energy. He also stated that having a person strictly build their list and attract people to it should be the sole activity of people working the traffic exchanges. If you know me, you will know that I think nothing could be further from the truth. Many of the people who team up with me often come with few or little resources when they get started with their businesses and if you were to believe those statements, these people should just fold up their tents and call it quits. Downline building is an integral part of list building and often the two work hand in hand. Many of those who have wound up being on my teams in afilliate programs and in my traffic exchange teams often came through the process of downline building. I do advocate list building but I believe that it has its place in relation to downline building. There are tons of ways to build lists the most effective being the use of lead capture pages. The major argument I have is with owners who use their membership list as a launching base for signing them up for other afilliate programs, traffic exchanges and such through email. The concept is simple: why would I send people on my list to an owner who is going to bombard them with links in their email to programs I am trying to promote in that same exchange? Also there is the issue of insuring that I get credit for people that I bring to that program. Without an assurance that my efforts to bring people to a program will be properly rewarded, I am simply working as a tool to enrich the owner without any benefits to myself and my business. In other words, I am chasing my tail when I advertise or promote such sites. Owners who use and abuse their members and build their programs on the backs of their members are simply unfair. No amount of money they could possibly earn by raping their members in this manner makes it right. And it's our job as members of these programs to demand honesty and fairness from their owners. That's why I support Rob Gehring and Juli Norwood in their efforts to bring back honesty and fairness to an industry that has gone amok and forgotten its roots. To the owners who have joined the Downline Integrity Brigade and taken the initiative to listen to their members, I say thanks. To the other owners who are listening to these arguments, I give the advice: listen to your members and treat them as you would want to be treated. Also know that team building is alive and well and kicking. The internet is a big place and we all need friends and to build relationships with those we do business dealings with. A smile, a simple hello once in a while and "Happy Birthday" when appropiate are all signs of having a good relationship with those you are in business with. Speaking of which, a big "Happy Birthday' goes out to Chris Wysocki and DiveForIncome, 50 and 2 years old, on November 13th in that order. Without DiveForIncome, I can say a lot of my list building efforts would fall very short of where they are now. Thanks Chris for bringing us the internet's greatest downline and team builder of them all. If I made you mad, so be it. It's time for the traffic exchange industry to realize it's in the service business and the ultimate power belongs to the members. Members take note and use your power to surf where it benefits you and your team. That's my 2 cents so take the time to spend them well and have a great week! E, king of nye |
Welcome to the Blogosphere ExplosionLeaders, I have promsed to give small tidbits on traffic generation and this one deals with a traffic subject near and dear to my heart - blogging. Many of us shy away from it because it is a bit of a chore to keep up and because it keeps us from the fun of surfing, but in today's competitive world of internet advertising it is the one tool you just can't be without for getting search engine traffic. Blogs can be thought of as the "candy" of the search engines. The major search engines often spider for new content and blogs and forum posts are often looked at because of their relative content-rich qualities and fresh new material on subject matter. Smart internet marketers pick up on this and use it as a deliberate part of their advertising campaigns. Our fomer mentor Doug Williams called this the blogosphere explosion. So how do you get started down the road of getting blogs and blog content as part of your traffic campaigns? There are several great ebooks contained in SEOSquid to assist you with beginning work with blogs as well as the "Blogging and Winning" course in MoneyLegs. One great first step is to become a member of BlogEstates and the GJW Forum and to make a habit of reading posts in both places on a regular basis. Posting comments are great and in the forum you can include a small signature file with links you wish to promote. The importance of these are they bring exposure to your links from the search engines. The exposure from the blogosphere can get you real name recognition and traffic. You should start with a topic that is familiar with you and start to make posts. Don't worry too much about content and form in the beginning, the idea is to get your name and ideas out there for others to see. Courses in SEOSquid and our advanced SWARM training classes provide a plethora of knowledge and are key in gaining a working knowledge of how to work with the search engines and building traffic to the most important site on the internet -- your domain. Don't have one yet? Join SEOSquid and take advantage of our basic hosting package. Here you can take the vital first step to getting serious about having your own presence on the internet. You don't build a kingdom in a day and getting your own presence in the blogosphere won't happen overnight either. Take baby steps, learn with us and eventually you will get there and be better for the effort. E, king of nye This page brought to you by:
