Breaking rigid structures

Thinking Tools

The continuity of time sequence:

The time sequence in which our experience arrives allows that experience to arrange itself into structures, institutions and concepts [patterns] .Once established-we get locked in that pattern. We start seeing things from these restricted viewpoints. The following example will I hope clarify:

The figure shows visually how a time sequence of arrival of different shapes sets up a certain structure[the 1st row ---the 2 incoming similar shapes get locked into a fixed pattern] , which then has to be disrupted [the 2nd row] in order to make full use of later arriving pieces.

Hence if we have to generate a repertoire of very effective ideas for developing attractive/distracting banners; convincing worded emails; promotional tools; even other competitive penetration/consolidation strategies we must break out of the fixed patterns established in our minds and explore for several alternatives to any given problem/situation/opportunity.
