How To Get The Most From Resell Rights A while later after spending most of your imaginary fortune on imaginary things, and buying the dog a bone so big she would take a few lifetimes to finish it the bad old dude, reality, decided to make a comeback. You set up your webpage and payment links, bought some PPC traffic, wrote an article or two and really put a lot into promoting your resell rights product. Why not, you get to keep all the money you make. A couple sold but it never reached those heights you were hoping for, but at least it made you some money and that feels like you have achieved success, and indeed you have. But more importantly, you have also lined someone else’s pockets. You get resell rights to certain products with your purchase, or from a membership site that offers resell rights products to their subscribers every month in exchange for a subscription fee. Resell rights to products is a good idea, and yes, you can make money from it. The coin also has another side, and it is a more golden side than the one you are used to seeing. That side belongs to the owner or author of the resell rights product. What exactly does he get from the deal and why in the world would he want to give the resell rights to someone else and get no money for his work? Allowing affiliates to market the product would make a lot more sense because he will still be earning money for each product that gets sold. A thought would be that once the product has outlived its initial value, you can then sell the resell rights to others because you have already made your money. This however might implicate that a product with resell rights would be inferior to a product sold by affiliates. This is not the truth by a long shot. There is however a difference between products with resells rights and affiliate products. Both products are aimed at the end user, but a resell right product is more targeted toward back end sales. Its purpose is back end sales and that is why the creator of the product sells the resell rights to others. The purpose of a resell rights ebook would be to give information or to teach something, but in the process of doing that it would promote other products to the reader to achieve what is taught in the book. So how is this done? You have a few products that you would like to promote. You might own them or just be an affiliate for the products. Take four or five of the products that are closely related to one another that would together achieve a common goal. Do some market research and find a profitable niche related to the products and you are ready for takeoff. As an example let’s take two software products and two ebooks about SEO. Write an ebook or report explaining step by step how to do on-page and off-page optimization. Explain to the reader how to maximize his rankings by using blogs and back links as well as how to optimize for the correct keywords so his site would be seen and indexed by the search engines. Four steps, four products. Broadly explain on-page optimization so that the reader will be able to do it manually and have enough knowledge as to what it entails. Leave out the fine details of the subject. During your explanations and tutorials as well as at the end of the book keep referring to the ebook you are promoting, and what advantages it will hold for the owner. Every time you mention the product it has a link to the product sales page, which of course is your affiliate link. Write your entire book promoting all the products you have decided upon. Now this does not devaluate your book, and you do give useful and valuable information to the reader even if he does not buy any of the products you are promoting. Those are there if he wants to know more, perfect the system, or make it easier and faster to get to the end result. Your book will have value in itself and you can sell it for $20, 00 with resell or master resell rights or if it is a report sell it for $9.95. You will get some sales if you market your product well and others in turn will market and sell your product as well. But you will make the real money from the sales produced by the links throughout your book. That is why selling products with resell rights makes financial sense. The resell rights you give to the buyer adds value to your product and will in many cases justify the price you are charging. The dog has been good-naturedly waiting while you have been reading this article, please go get the dog a bone. There might however be some faint similarities between women and autoresponders but this is not my place to say, neither would I ever dare. But what do women and autoresponders have to do with each other? Well read on and find out. We all receive them daily, those pesky messages in our inbox. Most generated by an autoresponder. But still there are some that we open and read. Now why do you think that is? Let’s turn back the clock and have a look at how exactly we got to this point. Since the advent of the internet using it for sales and marketing has become more and more lucrative. It has now become highly evolved and competitive that everyone is looking for new and better ways to market. There have been all sorts of different tried and tested methods but the one that has stood the test of time is email marketing. Based on this it is pure common sense that a list of email addresses and names are extremely profitable. At first you had to send each mail yourself, and so it went on until the advent of the autoresponder. It would be similar to the discovery of fire many years ago. Suddenly we had cooked food so we invented pots and pans, found India and wonderful spices, discovered coffee, which I think is the most important of all, steam driven power, electricity and so on. Subsequently all of these have been improved over time to make our lives easier. So has the autoresponder. We fill in a form on a page or popup and instantly we receive a nice message with our name neatly in the title and we feel honored. But that only lasts until we know about autoresponders of course. The autoresponder is a fantastic tool and it allows you to get on with other work. It is the use of the autoresponder to build relationships with your clients that has lost its touch, and consequently for many marketers it effectiveness as a sales tool. You opted in, so they are allowed to send you a message. The only problem is nine out of ten of these messages are trying to sell something. Now don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with using opt in email to sell products, what is a problem is that every message from the same sender is a sales message. I must be honest, if I subscribe to a newsletter or other form of opt in and the first three messages I receive from them are sales letters disguised as newsletters they all get added to the junk folder or I unsubscribe. Good information and building a relationship with your subscribers is not selling to them with every email. All over the internet software called autoresponders are bombarding their unsuspecting subscribers with sales letters. You get them too, and think for yourself, how much have you purchased from any of those letters? It is true and proven that most customers will buy after about seven attempts, and this is also where the most sales will take place.
Many list owners do not want to make the effort to really build a relationship with their subscribers. They will all tell you that they do, but in reality it is actually really hard work. It is much easier writing seven or so emails based on a sales letter disguised as useful information than it is to write something of real value to your subscriber. Let’s turn back the clock a few thousand years. If you were a male you would have to go out and hunt, if you think writing is hard work, grab a bow and arrow and slog behind some animals for a few days and see which one you prefer. If you were a woman you had to attend to the fields, kids, fetch water, cook food and so the list goes on. Except for fetching water from the river and tending to the fields I think women still do most of these chores. So on second thought you do have an excuse. In view of the last statement, ladies you are excused, this is only applicable to lazy males. If you have a little time on your hands though, you should definitely give it a go. Your autoresponder can considerably increase your sales and it should not seem that all of your emails are coming from some pre-programmed software. Just putting a name in the headline does not personalize the email you have to talk to your subscriber. Make each email contain valuable information to what the subscriber opted in for in the first place. Each piece of information should be complete, meaning that he will be able to use it without having to buy a product or subscribing to a site. Add your personal touch to the mails and actually write them yourself, don’t just copy and paste. Make your headline interesting not the same old same old as you see on every second email. Once you give useful information that can actually be implemented you will find that your open rate for your emails will increase and subscribers will actually read your emails, whether they come from the autoresponder or not. In this way you will build credibility and a rapport with your subscribers so when you do offer them a product or service they will be eager to buy from you. The bottom line is that is you want to receive you will have to give. Women know how to do this men have to learn, sorry guys! Post Comment | Read Comments (0) The Popup, Friend Or Foe?
Pop-under, Popover, or just pop up, no matter what you use it still remains a proven method to increase your subscriber list and sales. Many of us find the popup quite an irritation and have scripts installed to block them whenever we can, but they still seem to get through. You yourself have probably filled in one, or have been tempted to buy from a popup recently. Sit back and think why you did and what happened. The key to running a successful popup campaign is to make sure you have something worthwhile to say or offer. It can be put down to offering your visitor something of interest related to what he has been searching for. Now we all know this, but how many are actually applying it? A successful popup has to be target specific, most webmasters will just put the same one on all their pages, and in most cases they will have absolutely nothing to do with the page. Mainly this boils down to plain laziness. If you target a specific search with your keywords, your popup should relate directly to that theme. Simply put, have different offers for different pages. The single popup for all pages will just irritate your visitor and he might not even come back to your site again. Use them carefully and plan each ones use. If it does not relate to a page, don’t put it on. The popup has two main functions:
The pop-under on the other hand is normally used to activate a sales page when the visitor leaves, but it has been successfully used to get new subscribers. Both methods will work depending on the content and makeup of your page. The popup consists of three basic elements: Headline:
Sub-headline:
Call to action:
The popup is not a sales page, your ultimate goal is to create an itch, the more itchy the better. Conditioning to old style popovers is evident and just like banners they tend to draw little attention. To get away from this you need to be a little more creative and give them different look and feel that will catch the visitor’s interest. The key to sales is advertise, advertise and advertise, as much as possible. But if your advertising is just thrown into the air and not targeted, I would suggest a philosophical chat with the dog, the result will be the same. For one, if it is a really good product that the visitor wants to see you are in a winning position. In most instances though you will just have a slight curiosity when the visitor lands on your page and getting them to the point where they really want to give you their information will be up to you and your writing skills. Here is a rough outline for you to apply on your landing page. Break it up into these four words. Hey, You, See, So. Where “Hey” is your headline. This is where you call the visitor. You grab their attention by stating a predicament they might be in or making a proposition. “You”, is where you make the visitor part of what you are saying and leading into the subject matter of your page. This is also your sub headline which should be the lead out from your headline and the lead in to your subject matter. "See is the section where you will tell the visitor about the product reiterating or proving your headline and sub-headline. State all the benefits they can expect either through a review of the product if you own and use the product, or leave out your story and explain each of the main advantages proving your headline and sub-headline. A review is always a good option to use as the content for your landing page. If you are using a specific product and it has helped you to find answers or solve problems saving you time and ultimately money, you will have a passion for that product. Now this passion is not the same as for ‘dearly beloved’ but I think you do get the point. Depends on who does the dishes of course. Well let’s not go off on a tangent and get back to the subject at hand. When you write your review on the product tell a story, we all love stories, and if you don’t believe me ask your parents what they had to do before bedtime when you were small. We will never grow out of it, the story just becomes more refined. Don’t be afraid to mention weakness, snags or something you had to go through to achieve success with the product, by doing so you will gain more trust from your readers because you are honest. Sell them what you believe in and then offer them something in return for their email address like a guide to the use of the product, or a free video that you made on getting the most from the product. Use your imagination and put yourself in the visitor’s shoes, personally I would not go for the socks. Use bullet points and white space and remember your content should be just long enough to create an itch; the sales page will do the scratching. “So”, is your final analysis where you will reiterate all the main benefits in bullet points and a call to action. Do not forget, or be afraid, to ask. If you do not ask you will not receive. Well time to walk the dog again and get some inspiration, and maybe some coffee. Now you would make me, the dog and dearly beloved very happy if you visit the link. http://www.yourenterprize.com/squeeze/spd.php Post Comment | Read Comments (0) No Newer Entries No Older Entries |
