When Technology Fails!

Boy oh boy talk about a real experience!

Last night I was schedualed for a Banner training class and minutes before the meeting was to start my computer decides to go to lunch.

Nothing would work everything hung up when executed!

So what was I going to do? Well I knew my friend Tony Tezak would be in the room so I called him up and through the use of the telephone I was able to guide him thorugh a few items I could share using the phone. Although the meeting was not great, the class did get discounts and have my promise that the next training class will bring a very juicy tip that should increase over all performance by at least 10%.

Take a Break and Go Racing!

I found a great site that offers an online superbike GP race and it is fun! I spent a good hour there and pushed my time down to 1:50:26 for three laps. Watch the left handed sweep hairpin. If you hook up just right the bike actually comes out of the corner a little faster than it went in!

Migrain Headaches - Any Cures?

Do you suffer from migrain headaches? I do occasionally and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good home remedy? if you do feel free to share it here with all the readers as I am sure others suffer from the same thing. I think I get mine from too much computer work. Need to clone myself I think lol.

Control Line Combat Plans

If you are into control line model airplane building and flying then at some point you may need some plans. Plans are what modelers use to build their craft.

I found a great plans service that carries some of the age old kits like the Flite streak, the T-square and others.

The place is called Barry Baxter's Controlline Plan Service.

Check it out. I flew the ringmaster and flite streak and found them both to be very capable stunt and combat flyers. Although I like the Flite streak a little better especially with flaps enabled. It helps it make sharper tighter corners which of course means you can turn tight onto your opponent and cut his/her streamer first and win the match!

If you want to practice and get used to the Flite streak or any combat flyer I suggest underpowering it just a bit and run it a little rich at first.

It will give you time to think about each manuver and concentrate on making smooth transisions between level flight and the manuver itself.

So if the kit takes a 15 thru 35 sized motor use the 15 until you get used to the plane. When you are more confident then re-fit a 29 or 35 onto the craft and have a great time!

Of course for serious combat, the biggest motor allowed is the way to go and of course you will be running it under a presurized fuel sytem to feed the beast during abusive manuvering.

Ahhh... I can smell the nitro now.. :-)

Another one bites the dust

It seems that Blogexplosion no longer wants our business (Blogestates) as we have been asked to leave. Yes another exchange bites the dust. I am really kind of fed up with this attitude by some of the owners.

If you joined blogexplosion under me you may do as you wish however I will be termiating my account with them. The way I see it there will be 2500 blog traffic exchanges appear on the internet over the course of the next 5 - 7 years because of the quickly rising awareness of Blogs, Blogging and RSS.

Paste it into any ole html page you may have on your domain, save it and upload your file to your server. Then hit it with your browser.

Yep. It's that easy to syndicate my content and you know what? The traffic is excellent as well as the search engine placement.

So do I care if one traffic exchange or a few drop Doug's programs?

Nope.
