Ram Air Sucks! It's Supposed To!

Just occurred to me that maybe you don't know what Ram Air or Cold Air intake is. Well I am no expert but basically it's all about getting your air filter out of the box and giving it a direct route to your fuel injectors. I have a couple of pics here for you to see the one I installed on my Durango.

All I can say is this.

Before Ram Air:

235 horsepower

Fairly decent response from the throttle.

Gas mileage was not great.

After 30 minutes to install the ram air:

250 horsepower a 15 horse increase.

10% more gas mileage.

And best of all the throttle response is crisp

and positive.

It's excellent! Passing on the open road is no problem. The same with hills and upgrade. It just mumbles up the road with no effort. :-) Fun!

As a musician of 33 years as a guitar player, an avid model airplane nut, pc game freak and general movie and music buff you can expect to see anything here from my gripes about insurance and gas rip offs, to the hottest new guitar solo I just heard or which paper airplane flies the farthest. You just never know! So bookmark, hang out and come back often or you will miss the fun!

Oh and I love our new truck. A 2001 Dodge Durange Sport with a 4.7 magnum V-8 and a Ram air cold air intake! It rocks and looks great doing it. Can you tell I am a proud owner. lol
