Have You Seen the Movie?
"AMERICA...From Freedom To Fascism" WARNING: This is NOT a fiction!
I've watched the trailers and anticipated the coming of this documentary for quite some time now...and it's even more frightening and thorough than I expected. Mr. Russo digs deep and takes us even further beyond the unconstitutionality of the Federal Reserve and the IRS to the even darker plans of a government RFID chip and the New World Order.
This is definitely a MUST-SEE for all Americans!
Dear Lovers of Liberty, the struggle is just beginning! Get ready...
* Are you aware by May of 2008 the law will require you to carry a national identification card? * Are you aware that there are plans being developed to have all Americans embedded with a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) computer chip under their skin so they can be tracked wherever they go? * Are you aware the Supreme Court has ruled that the government has no authority to impose a direct unapportioned tax on the labor of the American people, and the 16th Amendment does not give the government that power? * Are you aware that computer voting machines can be rigged and there is no way to ensure that your vote is counted?
Aaron Russo is proud to announce the opening of "America: Freedom to Fascism" in theaters around the country. Tell your friends, family and co-workers - Everyone must see this film!

Will Immigration be a Deciding Issue in 2008?
The immigration protests this past year has elicited strong reactions from millions of Americans. Chanting slogans in Spanish and draping themselves in Mexican flags would not seem to further the protestors' cause. On the contrary, it seemed to emphasize the incongruous nature of widespread illegal immigration. How much longer do we tolerate millions of people who don’t speak English or participate fully in American life?
Yes, our country is made up of immigrants, but the new Americans coming ashore in the previous century were legal immigrants. They upheld their culture and ethnicity but they also learned English and embraced their new-found nationality.
We’re told that immigrants do the jobs Americans won’t do, and I suppose this is sometimes true. But many times don't illegal immigrants increase the supply of labor, which lowers wages? And though cheap labor may benefit the economy as a whole, what of the cost of furnishing social services to new immigrants?
Amnesty for illegal immigrants would only reward lawbreakers. If we reward millions who came here illegally, certainly millions more will follow. We would be in the same position ten years from now with a whole new generation of illegal immigrants. Wouldn't amnesty also be a slap in the face to legal immigrants who endure years of waiting and paperwork to earn citizenship?
Birthright citizenship rewards lawbreaking as well. Citizenship involves more than the location of birth. Real citizenship demands connections to our culture and an allegiance to the United States. Americans welcome those who come here to build a better life for themselves, but we expect immigrants to show loyalty and attempt to absorb our culture.
I expect that illegal immigration and the increasing problems associated with it will be front-and-center at the ballot box in 2008. Let's effectively utilize our rights as Americans to bestow the benefits of being American on legal immigrants who truly embrace America.

Is Columbus Deserving of a Commemorative Holiday?
Each year since 1971, on the second Monday in October, as our Canadian neighbors celebrate their Thanksgiving, Americans have celebrated Columbus Day. Banks and government offices close, and the holiday is commemorated as the date of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the New World in 1492. Similar holidays take place in Latin America, the Bahamas, Spain, and Venezuela, as Day of the Race, Discovery Day, and Day of Indigenous Resistance - all commemorating the same event. Yet, some will claim his achievements are not worthy of a holiday celebration.
It would seem that the dramatic and embellished account by Washington Irving of Christopher Columbus' biography "The Life and Voyages of Christopher Columbus" was so popular it became accepted as fact. Columbus was not the first to discover America and the holiday has been rejected by many people who view it as a celebration of conquest and genocide by the Spaniards.
Groups such as the Transform Columbus Day Alliance claim that we've all been lied to about Columbus; that before Columbus sailed the Atlantic, he was a slave trader for the Portuguese, transporting West African people to Portugal to be sold as slaves - initiating the first Trans-Atlantic slave trade - and 8 million people were killed, making his "contribution" to history the first mass genocide of indigenous peoples. They believe that Columbus' actions set the foundation for legal and social policies -- still used today in United States, Mexico, Canada, South America and in many countries around the world and that these policies justify the theft and destruction of indigenous peoples' lands and knowledge by corporate and government interests.
In defense of the celebration of the Columbus Day holiday, the Order Sons of Italy in America has done a study which presents convincing evidence that Columbus never owned any slaves or brought any to the Western Hemisphere from Africa, and did not consider the natives he encountered to be racially inferior, but rather admired them as beautiful, generous, innocent and intelligent. They further claim that the the early European explorers did not "contaminate" a disease-free New World as previously believed and that the Vinland Map, which allegedly proves that the Vikings arrived in North America in 1000 AD, is probably a forgery.
