An American Halloween
The history of the day is one of religious traditions, sacrifices and folklore. While it may be difficult to understand the motivation of their actions, it's good to know the roots of our current practices of Halloween. Most of the customs connected with Halloween day are remnants of ancient religious beliefs and rituals, first of the Druids who celebrated "Samhain" as the close of harvest and the initiation of the winter season and then Roman Christians who observed "All Hallows Day" to honor all Saints in heaven. Today, in America, it's simply a long-established tradition celebrated with fun, costumes, and candy and no thought to religious rituals or connotations. ................................................... We Could Use More Rosa Parks
When a 42 year old Alabama seamstress refused to give up her seat to a white man on December 1, 1955, she did not know that she was about to spark a bus boycott and start a national civil rights movement. What she did know was that the mistreatment of black individuals through segregation was wrong. She knew it was unconstitutional. And she was tired of it. Rosa Parks followed her convictions and kept her seat to stand up for what she knew to be fundamentally wrong. The rest, of course, is history. America could use more patriots like her. Where have all the Rosa Parks gone? ................................................. Beat the coming inflation with BlackHoleseries Viral Marketing Success Strategies. Balancing the Budget
This is rich. Richard Wheway of Wilbraham, Mass. says in USA Today "Bank fees? You're to blame. Banks are in business to make money..." (An understatement,to be sure.) He goes on to say "Whatever happened to the old saying, "If you don't have the money, don't spend it"? It's not the bank's responsibility to ensure that you balance your checkbook. It is not the bank's responsibility to be sure you deposit checks and wait for them to clear. It is up to you to be sure the money is there." Could you please inform our servant government, Richard?

The Truth?
Imagine spending more time with your family, in a house you paid off in ten years, not thirty. Imagine an America where you keep what you earn. Imagine breaking free from taxable income. The Truth? The "861 Evidence" Flash presentation is an introduction to purported evidence in Section 861 of the correctly written federal income tax law that claims that most Americans do not owe federal income taxes and never have. The Truth?

What IS a "Living Constitution"?
Our founding fathers created the Constitution, the law of the land. It was set up that Congress would pass laws, the executive branch would put the laws in place, and the Supreme Court would determine if the laws were consistent with the Constitution. Many amendments have since been added. The Constitution was devised to limit the role of government in our lives. The document gave some limited rights to the government and all other rights to the states and the people. Without a real written set of laws to protect those rights, judges will be able to change the laws without our input, the courts will have a dictatorship, the political process will be eliminated and the government will be in charge of our freedom. A "living Constitution" means that we will not have a constitution at all. No Constitution, No Rights.

A "Living" Constitution?
There's been talk from U.S. Senators during the Supreme Court confirmation hearings of Judge John Roberts over a "living Constitution". The Constitution, they say, changes with the times. These senators want a Supreme Court that looks at the constitution as a document open to changing interpretations based on current popular thinking, most significantly, that of the political elite. Some senators and Supreme Court justices even think that foreign law should be integrated into our Constitution!

Columbus Day Observation
Christopher Columbus has been credited with the discovery of the New World where he supposedly landed on October 12, 1492. But after more than five hundred years there's still disagreement about just where Columbus first saw the new world and set foot upon its shores. In Columbus' time, many still believed that the earth was flat. Some thought that if they sailed too far from shore they would sail off the edge of the world. Since Columbus helped to disprove this ridiculous theory, it seems to me that is reason enough to honor him with a special day. President Franklin D. Roosevelt proclaimed October 12 as Columbus Day in 1937. President Richard Nixon later declared Columbus Day a national holiday which Americans observe and celebrate on the second Monday of each October. Enjoy your holiday!

Real Money, Real Freedom
Did You Know? Every American owes China $6,404 dollars. China holds $19 billion in U.S. treasury bonds. And that debt gets bigger by the minute. The Bank of Japan holds about $668 billion in U.S. Treasury Securities. The Federal Reserve holds a little over $675 billion. 13 leading Asian banks own more than $2 trillion U.S. dollars in reserves. Your retirement could be in their hands. Uncle Sam never stops spending. Our outstanding debt is almost $8 trillion and growing at $1.64 billion per day. Their solution is to print more money which makes each dollar worth less. Bankruptcies have doubled in the last 10 years. An estimated 43% of American families spend more than they earn each year. The average household carries about $8,000 in credit-card debt that is almost impossible to pay off. The U.S. dollar is no longer a stable currency and is losing value at a rapid pace. China would like to sell its dollar reserves and put its money in the euro or the yen. The result will be devastating for most Americans. We CAN stop this vicious cycle of being ripped off by the rigged money system. We can protect our money while we MAKE money, do good, and have fun! Simply use REAL MONEY.

Kudos to Judge Moore
Alabama's former chief justice Roy Moore will run for governor in 2006. You remember Judge Moore; he was removed from the bench for not removing his Ten Commandments monument from a state Judicial Building and prosecuted by the Attorney General's office public corruption and white-collar crime unit. His platform? Limiting legislators to three terms, barring lawmakers from holding two state jobs, ending annual tax reappraisals of property and imposing new penalties on businesses that employ illegal immigrants. His main issue? "Return Alabama to the people." He intends to "defend the right of every citizen of the state to acknowledge God as the sovereign source of law, liberty and government." Perhaps with Alabama in the lead, one state at a time, we can decriminalize our God-given rights, return all of the united states to the people and once again be "One nation under God."
