Sleep well Mr. Williams

So long Doug..............

Doug Williams was more to me than just a program owner that I just happened to know from being a member. Well, maybe it started out that way. Oh, about four years ago I had this little idea called 10000hits hosted at yes, angelfire. I was surfing one day and I saw 3Step and was kind of interested in the idea of a domain name, branding my business, cyberwheeling, the whole 9 yards. So I decided on the name 10khits4u; and began building lead capture pages for folks from my ViralHost Space. At first I was a bit shy towards Doug. I kind of figured he would notice me by all my referrals and I didn't want to make too many waves or anything. One day Doug called me and asked me how the heck I get all those signups without promoting the program (i.e.  sending traffic to the Moneylegs pages.) We always had a good laugh on that one; and if you follow the 10k System, you know exactly what I mean and how that actually happens. Anyway, that was the beginning of not only solid mentoring but yes, real friendship. You know, a typical conversation, like, "Those credits seemed to have disappeared and oh, by the way, how's the family." Doug would always transition like that; weave in and out from business to personal. Some typical topics would be politics, raising kids, economics, gardening......just to name a few. I always called him sir; for I had a deep respect for a man who built a business from the ground up. It's kind of like just creating something from thin air. Doug was always a phone call away; and we shared the joys and frustrations of business and life in general. My last conversation with Doug was two days before his untimely passing; and I can't remember all the specifics but he was in a good mood and anxious to see the continuted growth of his "Swarm Project". I feel honored to have know him; and his spirit will carry forward to the men and women he influenced from both a personal and business standpoint. Don't try, do it! That was a Doug line and I found myself tripping up alot on that one. But he was right, in life stand by your committments; be honorable; and above all do not forget thoese who helped you..........for one day you may be looking for help yourself. Sleep well sir, you are in a far better place and you will be missed but never forgotten.

[The owner of 3Step, BlogEstates, ViralClassAds, LemmingRun, Clickaholics, TsunamiGold, ViralVisitors, Moneylegs, and ViralHost passed away 5/25/06 of an apparant heart attack in his sleep.]
