Pittsburgh Steelers World Champs

Wow, is that weird to say or what? Hey, not that I'm complaining or anything; but it had been
26 Years since the Pittsburgh Steelers  could stake that claim. One of the things that I remember
about the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat of the LA Rams in the 1980 Superbowl was the fact that there
was a very bad accident in front of my grandparents house. A couple of drunken teens hit a telephone
pole and actually sheered it off and we had no power overnight. Fortunately, this all happened after
the game and even more fortunately the boys were able to walk away and live to tell about their
Superbowl after party. Folks, don't drink and drive..........just not worth it.

So, 26 years later I'm sitting in my living room with my 8 year old son and granddad's garden hat
propped up on the top of a Bose Speaker. Good Luck, Karma, or 3 generations all pulling for a
common goal........call it whatever you want. What I do know is that the Pittsburgh Steelers  defeated
the Seattle Seahawks in a sloppy, penalty ridden game. The bus rode off into the sunset and all
is well with the world. No accidents happened outside the house this time........and we sure hope
that the Pittsburgh Steelers win another one alot soon that 26 years from now!
