Literature and the Love of Life

Lifes like that

I was intrigued by a blog recently called The Very Boring Blog. It was boring, but what was most enlightening were the comments. People were following the blog whose entries include gems such as, "I lifted an object off the table with my hand and I then placed it back again". That in fact was one of the more riveting posts. Great replies such as, "Wow, I'd never thought of doing something like that" or " I can hardly wait to read your next post, the suspense is killing me".

Still I have to say that reading blogs is more interesting than viewing advertisments!!

Regards to all

School is out

My hare-brained scheme to get a BA in mid-life has got past the finishing post. I got my final grades back and I've passed and ready to graduate (again!).

I've decided that from now on I'm going to be an auto-didact instead and spend the tuition money on books (what else!).

I'm reading a great book called The Seven Daughters of Eve at the moment which is the story of mitochondrial DNA and how we are all linked back to one of 7 original progenitors. I've also got another book to read called Sabbath's Theater by Philip Roth. I have read good reviews about it.

I'm looking forward to having more free reading time.

Go well.
