Literature and the Love of Lifepresented by Dr Kelp2005-05-31In the BeginningMy first remembrances of the enjoyment of reading was when I was about 8. I loved to snuggle up in bed and read such politically incorrect books as Biggles. A whole world opened in my mind - what a great escape. A book plus a vivid imagination is a powerful combination. I have been hooked on reading ever since, but my reading range widened somewhat and I remember struggling through a book of Teilhard de Chardin's when I was 13. I can't remember where I found that one! But I still remember about the noosphere etc.
Kind Regards to all

2005-05-30Welcome to my BlogDay 1 of a new blog. I have been in love with books and reading from a very early age. This blog will be a diary of my impressions of books that I'm in the process of reading.
My current read is Emile by Rousseau written in the 18th century. A great read and a view of how people thought in those days. Rousseau has some interesting ideas about raising children - especially in the light of the 21st century.
REgards to all
