The Rest is Coming

2005-06-30 @ 06:25:15 AM

When I made my first entry I said the rest of the story will be coming.  Will since that entry I have been working with someone who comes to Ky to setup fireworks in different towns.  I do all his bookkeeping and office work.  I also have to go to the warehouse to make sure that the inventory is sent out.  Well I have been putting in 10 hrs a day and because we have been having a heat wave I've been sapped when I get home. So I have not been able to get all the details of everything that went on with my grandson. I want to give you the entire story because he truely is a miracle  and everytime I see him I am reminded of that.

So for this entry I would just like to say that I am glad that I am a member of all of Doug Williams programs and consider him a good leader to follow.  With all the negative reports that have been going around lately concerning him I can only think that some people are jealous of his success.  Maybe they should spend more time making their progtrams successful instead of throwing stones at Doug Williams.

A thought for Father's Day

2005-06-19 @ 08:58:25 PM

Ruby and her husband had two children, one adopted, the other their own, a year younger. One day when the boys were eight and nine years old, a friend came to visit. The woman looked at the children playing in the yard and asked, "Which boy is yours, Ruby?"

"Both of them," Ruby replied with a smile.

"No, I mean which one is adopted?" the friend persisted.

Ruby looked at the boys for a minute, then gazed back at her inquisitive friend and said, "I've forgotten."

What is the difference between a biological child and one who has has been adopted into the family of God? In the eyes of our Father, there is none. We are full brothers and sisters of Jesus. We share in his glorious inheritance. God willingly brings us into his family and lets us sit at the table beside his one and only Son. He doesn't remember our bloodline any more than he remembers our sins. He only knows that we needed a home, and he gave us one. That's what it means to be children of God.

Thank you, "Father, dear Father."

God will give you courage when you are afraid

2005-06-06 @ 04:20:57 PM

This is something that I received today and I thought I would pass it along.

Where do I get the courage to go on when life seems too hard or obstacles seem too big?

I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn't like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid.

John 14:27 NLT

Since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish. He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the joy he knew would be his afterward. Now he is seated in the place of highest honor beside God's throne in heaven. Think about all he endured when sinful people did such terrible things to him, so that you don't become weary and give up.
Hebrews 12:1-3 NLT

More Than Ourselves

God is greater than the most severe threats in life. We will not be surprised or overcome by trouble if we continually turn to the Lord.

Courage comes from following Christ. While God's presence is our greatest encouragement, we also have the courageous examples of those who have gone before us (see Hebrews 11). Above all, we gain strength when we meditate on Jesus' courage. He showed that looking to our eternal reward gets us through the worst temporal trials.

How My Grandson is a Miracle

2005-06-01 @ 04:33:11 PM

When my daughter became pregnant I was thrilled.  I was ready to have a little granddaugther to spoiled.  I prayed for 5 months for this little girl.  In May of 2001 my daughter  went to the doctor's for an ultrasound to see what she was going to have.  I was so sure that it was going to be a girl.  When the tech told us that it was a little boy I was VERY disappointed.  What happened to all those prayers for my little granddaugther?  While we were at the doctor's I told them that my daughter was having problems with her feet swelling and passing out.  They ran a test and immediately they rushed her to the hospital.  It seemed that she had pre-eclampsia and that she was in danger of losing the baby or even dying herself.  It was then that I realized that my prayers for a granddaughter were very selfish.  I should have been praying for health for my daughter and furture  grandchild.  I started changing my prayer.  Lord keep my daugther  and grandson in Your Hands and keep them safe.  Through the next few days it was touch and go for my daughter.  She was transferred to UK Hospital in Lexington, Ky where they have state of the art technology for babies that are born early.

On May 28, 2001 my grandson, Cloud, was born.  He weighed only 1lb 3oz.  You could literally hold him in the palm of your hand.  The doctors told us that there was a chance that Cloud could have many different problems being so small andbeing a 24 weeker.  This is where the miracle comes in.  I placed Him on many different prayer chains and ......The rest of the story, next time.
