The Better Idea

The Eye of The Storm - 20 to 30 miles is the difference.
Katrina was her name. Had hurricane Katrina stayed the course the 10 to 15,000 people housed in the Louisana Superdome would not have gotten the busses to take them to the Houston AstroDome. You see the original course was about 20 miles to the West. Orleans Parish is under water and they are saying that it will take at least 30 days to pump out the water. Water in the city is 20 feet deep. Residents will not be able to return for sometime due to the flooding. Had the eye of the storm come ashore 20 to the West it would have, by some predictions taken up to 6 months to pump out the water. Power won't be restored for quite some time. Schools won't start again until possibly December 1. I live in Monroe Louisana which is North of New Orleans about a 5 hour drive. As the storm progressed through Gulfport and Biloxi Mississippi wrecking havoc on the beaches where the casinos are moored in the bay. At least two of the casinos were inland about 5 blocks and virtually destroyed. I drive for a Limo service that transport railroad crews to their trains. I was taking 2 crews to Livonia, Louisiana which is Northwest of New Orleans. As we were traveling south on route 165 in Louisiana one of the crew members said, it is amazing that only 60 to 80 miles to the East of us Katrina was moving North through Mississippi. Residents evacuated to Northern Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas. These people will be living in civic centers, shelters and tent cities for quite sometime until they can return to their homes. What's in the News?
A few weeks ago some of our illustrious senators and gongressman decided that some video games should be pulled from the shelves because of the violence that they protrayed. This is called censorship. Ok, I don't have any qualms about the censorship issue except that it maybe does not go far enough. The ratings are a good thing, I guess. When I was growing up the movies weren't as violent asthey are today.
My point is the national and world news that we see on our TV Screen everyday, not just once but several times each day. The news media can portray the same violence without censorship but because it is news we need to see all of the violence and such. The news media probably would not servive if it published something good.
The war protests are always on the front page but if there was a group protesting the war protestors they would get last page, small paragraph coverage or no coverage at all.
One thing I have not seen much about on the news is the amount of illegal alliens that are crossing our borders from the North and South. These illigals are treated better than the most of us. Did you also hear that in Miami, Fla there is a referendum to make English a secondary language. The Veterans organizations for years have tried to get legislation passed to make English the official language of the United States. This has come on deaf ears because the veteran is not represented in congress and the senate today like it was in years past.

Is Your Traffic On Steroids?
Steroids Steroids Steroids!! Is major league sports going through some major growing pains? The talk everyday about our big league idols being on steroids. How did we ever survive in the past with just enjoying a ball game with wondering if this player or that player took an illegal substance to enhance their ability to perform better. The only steroids that I need are traffic exchanges on steroids. We don't have to wonder if they work unless we don't work them. If you work the 30/30 plan everyday these programs on steriods will work for you. I have scheduled a conference about organization and backups for Thursday, August 11 at 10:00AM and 9:00 PM Eastern Time in the Blackhole Marketing Series Conference room.
