IT for Non-Profits
My latest Squidoo project is the resource "Information Technology for Non-Profit Organizations" and it will be a Squidoo lens into the specialized world of IT help for NPOs.
With "Information Technology (IT) for NonProfit Organisations (NPOs)" my goal is to promote both Free(Libre) and Open Source Software as well as The Freely Project to the general public overall and to increase public awareness of FLOSS and it's benefits to NPO's.
As a result, my technology-based website GBZ Technology is changing focus more to the NPO sector.
Check out the new project my clicking here.
If you are technology-oriented, check out The Freely Project

SFD 2006 Approaching Fast
Our Montrose Software Freedom Day (SFD2006) is drawing near.
Hilary, the local frugal librarian published an excellent artricle on the Susquehanna County Library website which uses Free and Open Source Joomla! Content Management System.

Squidoo and sfd2006
My last entry mentioned the new Squidoo Publishing Platform - my first trial Squidoo lens was sfd2006 which promotes Software Freedom Day 2006 and my local Montrose team.
In only four days my sfd2006 lens made number one on Yahoo! There is a lot of potential here!

Squidoo Publishing Platform
A new player in the search engine game is the Squidoo Publishing Platform which allows you to open a lens to your particular topic. Your single web page can point to favorite links, RSS feeds, blogs, Flickr photos, Google maps, eBay auctions, Amazon books and other resources. You can have several lenses.
These lenses are generating traffic and gaining credibility.
Two I entered today are for Free (Libre) and Open Source Software (FLOSS/FOSS) and Software Freedom Day 2006
