Transitions are all around us!

Transitions are all around us.  My family is a study in change. 

Since I am in the Great Grandparent generation, I get to watch the goings on in the other generations of our family.  Our great granddaughter is three and a half weeks old...she'll celebrate her one month birthday June 8...that's the day before my oldest daughter Dawn's wedding.  She's grandma to this young one.  What joy and rejuvenation the appearance of a new life on the scene has brought to this family...and there is always excitement when a wedding is afoot.

We'll be presiding over the Strong/Brewer hotel for a few days the end of this week.  It will be great to gather family members from far and near for this momentous occasion.  And I am going to provide the repast for the rehearsal dinner, so it's a VERY busy week.

Dawn has four children, all over 18 years of age.  They will be active participants in her wedding service.  This is one way of giving a message to everyone that the family is still intact, but changing.  These kinds of transition are usually touchy and concerted effort must be made to be sure there is minimal harmful fallout resulting from this remarriage.
