Weather2005-12-29 @ 12:32:42 PMWe are still at my Mother's in Vancouver, WA. The weather driving up here was really nasty. We've had wind storm after wind storm the last couple of weeks and another one is coming in around 2 a.m. PST Friday. We may head home today instead of tomorrow as planned. ~~~

We are supposed to travel 5 hours Northeast of us, but I've been hearing of icy roads up in that neck of the woods and there have already been a few fatal accidents. I spoke with my Mother tonight and she said it's snowing there. So I told her if it was still like that Christmas weekend, that we wouldn't be coming up there, that we'd have to wait.
My husband will be flying into Portland OR the night of the 21st, spending the night at my Mom's house then flying down here the next afternoon. I pick him up at 6:15 pm from the North Bend airport, so he'll be able to tell me how bad it is for traveling too. I remember when I moved to Coos Bay, I arrived on Valentine's Day 2004. I should have been here about 6-8 weeks before that, but Vancouver/Portland area got a snow and ice storm and it delayed my move for all those weeks. So I'm wondering if they are going to have another storm like we had that time. Which is unusual for Vancouver/Portland, especially two years in a row! Strange. I finally found a heater to keep me warm in the RV. It's an oil-filled radiator looking type of heater. It takes a long time to get the entire RV warm, but once it's warm, then it stays that way. I can't run my Christmas lights though. We're beginning to think that we may have a couple of bad breakers in the RV panel. Because I've been running my Christmas lights and the other heater I had all year long until now. We'll see. Hopefully it will be fixed this week. I've learned about earning money online and how you cannot just expect to come online as a newbie and think that you can join a program and start making money hand-over-fist instantaneously!
