How NOT to Get Google Search Engine Traffic or Ranking
Is Your Online Business Success Riding on Constant Internet Marketing Changes?
You have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to feel the changing winds in online internet marketing. The first constant is that the Internet Marketing game is always changing.
As hundreds of new products, affiliate programs and software come online expecting you to join and fill your pockets with fast- cash income you learn a horrible lesson.
NOT all these promises of instant income will even allow you to cover the costs of belonging to them. Their shelf life is short and the name gurus with the lists make the profits while you get to pick the left overs.
In order to keep you motivated, they offer empty old-hat marketing, direct sales, and web copy courses. Guilt is a strong emotion and they play the fiddle while you pluck the strings in advertisng and promotions that never pan out.
Now don't get me wrong here. Occasionally out comes a super marketing course that covers the skill sets you will need to be able to compete. The question is, can you afford the cost, do you understand the need to educate yourself in your chosen niche by following some of the better minds who really do know what you will HAVE TO do if you want success?
The bigger question may be, are you really listening?
This is serious - very serious.
Is your trust ill gained? Look at how Google is responding to many of the skills sets you have been taught that no longer work. Google is shutting down spammy sites left and right. The sites that held top position in ranking or made the first three pages are history - lost somewhere in the maze of thousands of back pages. Are you out there following a lost cause of Blog and Ping because someone told you that is how to get ranking with the search engines? NOT! In fact, it might just get you red flagged. So will thinly designed web sites chock full of affiliate programs. Your site reads like a who's who in what not to do.
Where is your value content? Where are your articles on your site to back up your niche and expertise in being able to offer a viewer something of value to brand who you are and create an interest with the Search Engine spiders?
If you use what Google considers 'sneaky' tricks like misunderstood redirects, software to hide your affiliate links, or other tricks in your affiliate promotions then do some research. You are not fooling Google one bit.
Are you a member of Linshare or CJ - commission Junction? If you are then you know it is a common fact Google is already discounting their links - YOUR links if you promote them.
Are you an Adwords fan? Looking to Adwords to make your millions? Google has just wrote a whole new book on rules to get your website ranked as worthy of placing ads on them. Try checking out your lcp, squeeze pages and links in your copy. If you write articles full of links you are on the way to being rejected again by article directories. Article writing, your blogs and your web copy are to instruct, teach, mentor and help a new person with value content that does exactly that, not load them up with emotional demands they have to have your latest and greatest affiliate find..
Is it all doom and gloom for serious marketers? No, not at all, but it is harder to promote efficiently and effectively without first learning the skill sets you need to carry your online business forward.
My feeling on what I have learned is that these new rules will fast separate the serious marketer from the get-rich-quick crowd and that cannot be a bad thing for anyone.
