Mail Day Presents The Quick Fix OffersToday was mail day. Time to tackle that horrendous beasty with the voracious appetite that sucks me dry from effort to contain it. I keep a pretty comprehensive set of SWIPE files on all manner of subjects so my mail is more than unwanted spam and useless business offers. It is one particular mail that is responsible for this blog entry. "Become a Travel Agent in ONE week" Perhaps it is because my husband Chris works as a booking agent for one of the biggest 5 star hotel agencies that got me going on this one. I know the long hours and intensive skill set he needs to set up your travel itinerary and there is no way you can learn to do that in ONE week! You can, however, work your butt off finding leads to send to these companies and let them make the money while you settle for the poor pay. Is this sort of advertising and affiliate offers the reason why so much hype gets plastered into creating a bad smell in the online business world? Is this why so many excited newbies get sucked into how easy it is to join a prospective program fully believing they stand a chance of building an income? A good 99% of beginners on the net are not here to learn how to build a business. That is the last thing on their minds. Instead, their focus is on how much money can they make. Perhaps life's issues or their own lack of the proper education, or retirement issues with poor preparation for increased cost of living has left them in desperate need of quick cash just to survive the week. What a shock to them to find out there is no quick fix. There is no way to fault the creative business owner who realizes this is THE BIGGEST targeted market out there to create an income off of. Thus affiliate programs designed to help the desperate and the naive flood the net to further feed the need. These desperate beginners work harder for their dollar than they would at a full time job for way less pay. No one can live on promises. It is not just paid to promote programs either that are guilty of taking advantage of this market. I am sure you have your own list of programs that are best ignored. Whether they be scam, sham or just not worth it, that list is longer today than most honest business opportunities. Does that sort of program put a greater onus on the way we advertise? I think so as the honesty we project will one day pay off. And the support we can give, the insights on how to create passive or steady incomes, the business models we use that project a long lasting successful future have to attract the serious prospect. While it is easy to feel sorry for these desperate people, to wish there was something we could do to help them, it is totally up to them. They have choices. If the only way they will learn is to get burned badly then they are the ones who will have to make that ultimate decision. They can keep right on getting burned or take the plunge and do it up right. Due diligence begins with who you are NOT who they are. What's Been Missing In Your Business?Off the top, most likely it is a sound business education. When I first came online, the internet was such a humungous world of exciting choices of business ideas. I was as green a beginner as anyone could possibly be. I wanted to do it right, so the first thing I did was put in a new business phone. No way I figured with my family, that anyone would ever get through to me. Anyone with a growing family of teens will fast relate to the work at home business strategy that needs to compete with yakkity-yak kids. With one telephone shared by all, it just is not going to happen! Thus armed with a good working computer, an online connection, and my own business phone all hooked up and ready to take those incoming customer calls, I was ready to do a search in hopes of finding a business that would create a much needed income. My education and learning began with paid to read, paid to click, paid to do surveys and any other paid to business they all promised would create a steady income. Yep and cows fly folks. Just don't stand under one in awe of such a sight. After three long years of testing, working, building teams and running my life right into the ground, the average income made was a heaping healthy $3.68 per progam - take or leave a few pennies here and there. To add insult to injury, those darned programs had withdrawl limits of $50. Needless to say, I gave up the paid for programs and the owners got to keep my hard earned gains. Knowing what I do about online business marketing today, I fully understand what was missing from my early years business plans - NO list. I had worked to build someone else and did not even realize my own business mailing list from all that effort. Is there a moral in this story? Heck if I know. For the most part it seems we all have to travel our own roads and learn our own lessons the hard way. But if you are a beginner in the wild internet world, looking to make your mark in these paid for programs that seem to be for newbies, then I got a real suggestion for you worth thinking about DON'T! Your time and money are valuable commodities.Instead connect with me. My messenger IDs and email address are on this site. Let's talk a bit about where you are in finding a business that can work with the proper steps of creating traffic and building your own mailing list.
