HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Happy Father's Day to any dads, step-dads, grandfathers, surrogate dads, expectant dads, and any other dads I have not mentioned. This is your day so enjoy it to the fullest.

Every day of the year, you give your best to be that significant male role model to your children or any younger person who is fortunate enough to make contact with you.

Your contribution is very significant to these young people and is appreciated much more than you can imagine or perhaps they have taken the time to express to you. Rest assured, you play a vital role in the entire life of the youngsters involved and I, for one, would like to thank you and let you know how much you are appreciated.

In our mixed up and confused society, those best wishes are equally given to single moms and dads who often have to play both roles to their children. You are to be commended for your diligence, care and extra love you pass on to the chikdren you have been blessed with.

To the children who read this, please take the time to make a telephone call to your dad or parent who has provided you with the care and love that has helped form who you are.

Let them know how much you love and appreciate them for never giving up on you. If things have been a bit rocky between you, then this little moment of appreciation will serve you well as an olive branch of healing.

Our fathers will not be with us forever and tomorrow can be too late to say I love you. Take this moment and make it count for all the yesterdays it needed to be said.

God Bless and enjoy the peace and wonder this day will bring you for caring and sharing.

TY Gina and gofer - lost my dad when he was way too young to go.It is so easy to be hypercritical of the people who raise us when it would serve a higher power to at least tell them once that we love them while they are still with us.
