Now then I got into all this affiliate biz when I first checked out the Lucky Nugget Casino. They had an offer at the time where you could try out their software and games and they would start you off with $10. I ended up enjoying playing and even won about $200 on it. I decided it would be cool to tell folks about this and so I made a site. I then found out there was an affiliate program. I could get paid for my testimonial page by putting their link in. I started looking for other casinos that did this and found one that even today continues to get awards in interCasino. After that I slowly got out of it, though every now and then I will play at Captain Cook's or 7 Sultans as a free player.

After a couple of years and a few sparce paychecks I decided to look for other programs. The first I started really promoting was I Give Away Money which I still think has one of the friendliest communities around right now. It was IGAM who showed me how usefull splash pages are.

Once I was in IGAM though I needed a way to promote them. I tried some traffic exchanges with moderate success and then found 10KHits4uNow. While it was a traffic exchange, and a good one, they offered me more ways to learn and help others with their use of a Hot Conference chat room. They also got me my own domain in Matt Ulmen.com.

As time went by I started looking for more ways to earn money online. I've tried pretty much everything from MLM to lotteries to Randomizers. Finally it started to dawn on me if I want to make a serious income I need a serious product.

This catches us up to now where I have just started finding some good products to promote. One is a subscription that allows you to get 250 Articles a month for $25 a months. These cover 10 catagories and some topics have included Adsense, Auto Responders, Home Security and Video Sites. If I can get people interested in this I have a feeling this could do well.

The other product just launched this weekend and it is a link purchase site called Get Your Word Now. This site is geared toward the changing world of the internet in that every tab but one is a blank slate so people can add what they want to. The price is $10 for your link to stay on the site for 6 months which I think is fair. There is also an affiliate program that pays out at 25% per purchase. So this can not only help you advertise, but it can also help you make money to advertise more.

That is about where I stand now. I do have a side project called Rendal's Ravings taht is a radio show I do for one hour live every Tuesday at 3pm EST on The FBC. I also have just been hired by them as Music Director, meaning I am the one on the lookout for new music to play on the stream.
